^ Good keeping him around will keep this defensive core intact for a while.
Just hope they both stay healthy for the next 3-4 yrs.

He should be out there blocking as much as possible. Not sure why they wouldn't give him an opportunity?!?
Guarantee this is one of those Matt Canada things... Remember last year when he essentially admitted that he wasn't allowing Kenny to use the full playbook?

HIGHSMITH SIGNED.

LOVE this... #10 highest paid edge, which will be pushed down the ranks in short order due to the rapid inflation of contracts. Nick Bosa is in the final year of his rookie deal. So is Brian Burns, and a handful of others seeking new deals.

Getting a top end producer under $20m AAV is a HUGE win. High character, hard working guy. The Khan artist is at it again.

And IDGAF about them already having a top paid defense... Practically the entire offense is on a rookie deal or UC for the foreseeable future.

HIs presser was going well until he lost me with this... I mean, how can he say this yet retain one of the most miserable OC's in the NFL?

So do they stick with Heyward acting as a FB or do they give Derek Watt another shot?

I like the Alexander signing but I am a little apprehensive about him given his injury history. Not ready to say he could be that off-ball LB that they were missing since he has been injured so often & bounced around the league. Torn ACL, pectoral & Achilles 3 years in a row. That’s brutal

Should say USFL, not XFL... But interesting that they are still looking at skill talent depth when they already have a lot of bodies. Maybe an injury happened?

I like the signing also. I hope he can stay healthy though but I feel that way about their whole defense.
