Remember what happened to the defense last year when Alualu got hurt? NT just skyrocketed up my draft board lol.

I know he's long in the tooth & was oft-injured last year, but that 300-lb hole ain't going to be filled by Buggs or Davis.

Yep... Alualu & Hilton were huge cogs in this defense... Sutton should plug & play in the slot, but will he be nearly as effective on the blitz schemes? Hilton was essentially a slot LBer. Hard to say but we will have to take that leap of faith.

Alualu's replacement will be tough since he's not on the team right now. Its either find a cheap FA or draft someone better than Buggs/Davis, which means draft someone higher than the 6th Rd and hope the scouts found a good fit.

If Buggs & Davis are going to be viewed as the competition for the starting role then the bar is pretty damn low.

I don't know what FAs are out there, but adding competition to the group should be a priority.
