March is a contender but how about October, baseball playoffs, NFL in full swing, basketball and even hockey getting started....

Made mention excluding when NFL is going on.

No doubt mid-Oct. is the best, especially with a contending baseball team. don't care about hockey, but I'll replace with NCAA football.

I believe this, too.....but Baker set rookie records on a team coming off a 0-16 season. Mahomes joined a playoff team and did sit for a year.

Not crazy to think baker can put up crazy numbers in year 2 with more experience and more talent to work with.

No guarantee, of course, I realize.

I don't think it is crazy to say that Cleveland might even have more skill position talent than the Chiefs do.

But Mahomes has already shown that he is a generational talent though. Baker can be a great QB for sure, but it isn't a given yet. Mahomes is already there.

Mahomes and Mayfield were both at Texas Tech but different times. Baker owned Mahomes head to head in college so I think Mayfield is there as well.

weather getting warmer

Speaking of which....it's been crazy nice here in the bay area for the last week or so...and it will be getting much nicer/warmer for the next week and beyond....

I just strung up the hammock I got in Guatemala years ago in my back yard.
I usually don't do that until April or May.

Lakers: Ingram, Kuzma, Ball, 2 first rounders and eating a bad K

Celtics: Brown, Rozier, Smart, 3-4 firsts

Clippers: SGA, Shamet, 3 firsts, etc.

Mostly agree, though one could make a reasonable argument what Baker did was as impressive......taking over an o-16 team compared to mahomes taking over a playoff team.......as a rookie as opposed to being a 2nd year player......far less talent at his disposal.

Love has had garbage teams, though. 40 wins in the West with his last Minnesota team is far better than Klay could have done with him.

Hell, have you seen what's happened in Cleveland since he returned? Even less talent than his Minnesota teams and they are playing far better. 6-4 when he plays. 0-4 when he doesn't. One of the losses he left after playing only 6 minutes (they were winning at the time). 11-39 while he was out before the injury.

10 games is not 82.....come on, this isn't hard to figure out.


Or are you saying the Cavs would win 50 games if Love played every game?
