No Durant and this is the happiest I’ve seen this team been in a while. Coincidence?

Great defensive performance. I hope @dtgold88 was able to watch this game and see what Klay does. Dude locked up on defense had amazing rim runs and finishes, post ups and overall had 30 points. Dude is a max player no question.

Wait. This was an actual debate?!?!?!!

you see this post of mine from earliet today? :

Bill Simmons‏Verified account @BillSimmons 2h2 hours ago
33-minute mark of latest BS Podcast w/ @ryenarussillo — I explained why J.R. Smith (!!!) will become a pivotal figure in 2019’s NBA Free Agency merry-go-round.

"I talked to some guys, and Jr Smiths contract might be the secret weapon of free agency".

should be interesting to see--- Simmons basically said that a lot of teams that might not look like they can carve out cap room, or teams that can carve out some, but not enough for 2 (or more) guys will absolutely be interested in trading for JR Smith and jettisoning salary.

It should be interesting to see what the Cavs do and if they get an offer that makes it worth it to take on another bad salary. They would probably be able to "stretch" a contract to get under the lux. tax.

I guess it probably depends on what the asset they would be getting is- how good that asset is.

If say Horford walks, and the Celtics do not have faith in Hayward- would the Cavs take on Haywards deal for some nice assets from Boston? It was a scenario Simmons brought up- he broguht up a few teams like that.
I wouldn't rule out anything...doing exactly what they did when Lebron left. Clearing space and accruing assets. Need to hit on the lottery this time to get their Kyrie. Of course, no Lebron coming back.

You always have to take it one step to far...
Lol

I think today, considering where the Lakers are, you would be correct.

I was one of the ones who scoffed when you said this month's ago.

So, I will eat the L.

But, damn...

Maybe play a game first before crowning them the People's Champ?

Everyone said the same about the Celtics before the Season started and they probably won't even have home court in the 1st round.
Not sure anyone thought the Cs were the people's champ, but agree more was expected of them.. At least in reg. season.

Every race has a percentage that ruins the property value.

I mean for ffs....

People need to quit acting like racism is exclusive to the melanin challenged part of the population ONLY.

Greatest way to say white people ever. Stealing that.

The Browns should be good. They should win the division and be a top 3 or 4 team in the AFC.

Should be.

But let's see how young Mayfield manages expectations and OdEll Beckham before we anoint them.
All fair.....I think they win the division, but hard to be too confident without beating Steelers at least once.

oh i dont expect the Browns to get t othe super bowl or anything this year

i mean baker is still a 2nd year player, they have tons of young guys, barely over a year ago they were ocming off an 0-16 season

this year i expect them to win 10 games and make the playoffs- either as a wild card or division winner. IF they stay healthy, get a little lucky maybe they win 11-12 games.

but i can see 10 wins and a playoff game......that would be a great step.

going from 0-16 to 10-6 and a playoff game in 2 seasons would be ridiculous.

that talent on offense though Mecca

-Baker
-ODB
-Jarvis
-Chubb
-Hunt
-Njoku

holy shit.
And I wouldn't shortchange Callaway. As a rookie who hadn't played for a year he played well. Now he'll often be covered by a 3rd CB? Good luck.

I'll say 11 wins is very realistic.

Possible?

Yes. Anything is possible.

Probable?

Hell no. Mahomes is another level of special.
I believe this, too.....but Baker set rookie records on a team coming off a 0-16 season. Mahomes joined a playoff team and did sit for a year.

Not crazy to think baker can put up crazy numbers in year 2 with more experience and more talent to work with.

No guarantee, of course, I realize.

Boogie was terrific tonight and was much needed with KD out. Definitely a big plus for the team and giving a hint of the potential. If he plays like this in the playoffs just shut it down and hand us another trophy.

Boogie

Everyone still think he isn't getting 15-20 mil?

Yep. Dtgold described him as a good 3 point shooter who can "play a little D", and worse than Kevin Love.
Are we really basing things on a game from last night? OK. Think Green can get something more than a minimum salary deal?

I need to come by more often. Pure gold.
You should. Might learn something. There are more wings who are solid defenders who can shoot but don't pass/handle the ball much, than 20-10 guys who can hit 3s.

I also saw "what Green does". Does this game mean he's maybe a vet minimum guy soon?
