are you saying that he thought defensive rebounding was the only part of defense that mattered?

(wtf?)
She's one of those who bases her irrational replies on the poster. Not the post. I could have said the sun rises in the East after being told it was the West and she'd take issue with my comment.

Ya gotta love her.

did ya see the defensive rankings I posted? And it was one of the more used metrics. Just proves defense is so hard to quantify.

LOL. You used it to prop up his defensive abilities. Semantics.
Yes, I did. Because defensive rebounding is often used in defensive ratings. Never said it made him a good defender. If you think I did you were wrong....

....but I get it's not in you to say so.

This was the first one that came up when I searched, and seems while they have Curry as above avg. in defense he isn't far above Love, who would also be in the average range (maybe a little above). And he's ahead of many guys considered to be good defenders.

Oh....Klay Thompson is far below Love.

This isn't to say I believe Love is a better defender (I don't) but it's tough to gauge defense.....

Especially when it's dependent on match ups. Someone like Klay will typically guard the best backcourt offensive player, which skews things. Front court players will be skewed higher because of greater chances for blocks and rebounds.

I have the perfect solution to settling the "Can Klay Be A #1 On A Contender?" question.

He should sign with the Lakers in the off-season. Then, in a couple of seasons when Lebron declines and he's the #1 option, if the Lakers are still contenders...he can be.

If not, he can't. :thumb:

That only lasts until the Lakers sign AD in 2020 though. Short window.

that works.....couldn't believe anyone took offense to an A Few Good Men reference.

...almost as unbelievable as someone taking a post that ends with LAUGH OUT LOUD in response as being serious

If I counted correctly, 18 of first 25 are PG, SG or SF.

so you think the Lakers are gonna punt on their cap room AGAIN this offseason?

how will that conversation go?

LeBron we really want to sign some guys to help you this offsason

but if we WAIT ANOTHER YEAR until your age 36 season we can probably get Anthony Davis!!!!

yah good luck with that

Not a waste whatsoever. More like a best possible situation kind of thing!
Not for Trojan's "test". It would be ruined. I think he might flip out if they sign Klay then AD comes along to ruin things.

Like when you said this - LOL. You used it to prop up his defensive abilities. Semantics.

I don't pay much attention to "lols" or emojis as most use them to enhance opnions they think are factual.

A couple of interesting match ups on the association docket today/tonight.

Also some good NCAA conference tournament games happening.

:yahoo:

Hoopin' it up on tHoop.

:suds:
Obviously liked it better when Cavs were good, but best time of year for sports (without NFL). weather getting warmer, NCAA tourney coming up, NBA in home stretch and baseball about to start.

March is a contender but how about October, baseball playoffs, NFL in full swing, basketball and even hockey getting started....

March and October are the 2 better sports for sure. I think I prefer the latter though.
