They should be the team in NY that free agents would love to sign with, from where the franchise was 5 years ago to now is a great improvement. Knicks have been a joke for most of the last 10-15 years.

Toronto had the same record last year. Indiana with Oladipo probably as good as the current team without him. Milwaukee a lot better but hard to say they are better than last year's Cavalier team.

Record not showing it, but would think Philly is better.

Not sure how East was such hot garbage last year compared to this one.

Looking at records doesn't tell the story.

There are more good teams across the league this year. Toronto, Milwaukee and Philly are all clearly much better than they were last year. Much better. They have added key players, young guys who have been there have improved and they have more experience.

I don't care what the records are. The East is much better this year at the top than they were last. Once Kyrie went down there wasn't a single team capable of winning more than 1 lucky game against the Warriors.

I know you don't care. Clear from your argument. East is better? I buy it at the top. "Clearly much better" Hyperbole and nothing more.

Usually when teams are "clearly much better" they will show it in the standings. Crazy, I know, to think wins/losses matter some. Milwaukee is such a team who showed it. Philly, Boston, Toronto, Indiana? we'll see.

And the cavs took a bit of a step back.

I think they start White, Murray and DeRozan.

All 3 can handle the ball and create and honestly I think Murray and White are both capable of playing on or off ball.

I am an unabashed homer. Murray and White are two of the best young point guard prospects in the league.
Both have world class elite defense with athleticism. Offense will come eventually.

I just dont know if they can both play since both will have to be ball dominant.
Unless one develops a really good 3 point shot and wants to be an off ball guy, there is more value in trade appeal.

The Spurs have 2 #1 picks PLUS either one of these two to dangle in a trade.

A package of say WHITE + 2 FIRST ROUNDERS + ALDRIDGE/DEROZAN is a strong offer.

The Knicks have Fiz......he's a pretty good coach. I think they'll attract players this summer.

A strong offer for who?

Anthony Davis

1) Offering one of their prize young guards (Murray/White) or both if also necessary
2) Two first round picks they have this year, and a 3rd first rounder if also necessary
3) And then either Derozan or Aldridge to add a veteran ready allstar type player

That is better than just about any team besides Boston can offer.
And if they offered both guards, it would be arguably the best package out there.

I just dont see the Spurs parting with both of them. That would be a little too much to give up.

just wondering if anyone still wants to question my statement regardnig Baker Mayfield and LeBron James that Cleveland fans, the vast majority of them, if given the choice between having Baker on the team playing for the city, or LeBron- would without a doubt take Baker.

It would be Baker

It would be a landslide

It is not even a question

as Jim Rome is saying

the Cleveland Browns are "American's Team"

you see this post of mine from earliet today? :

Bill Simmons‏Verified account @BillSimmons 2h2 hours ago
33-minute mark of latest BS Podcast w/ @ryenarussillo — I explained why J.R. Smith (!!!) will become a pivotal figure in 2019’s NBA Free Agency merry-go-round.

"I talked to some guys, and Jr Smiths contract might be the secret weapon of free agency".

should be interesting to see--- Simmons basically said that a lot of teams that might not look like they can carve out cap room, or teams that can carve out some, but not enough for 2 (or more) guys will absolutely be interested in trading for JR Smith and jettisoning salary.

It should be interesting to see what the Cavs do and if they get an offer that makes it worth it to take on another bad salary. They would probably be able to "stretch" a contract to get under the lux. tax.

I guess it probably depends on what the asset they would be getting is- how good that asset is.

If say Horford walks, and the Celtics do not have faith in Hayward- would the Cavs take on Haywards deal for some nice assets from Boston? It was a scenario Simmons brought up- he broguht up a few teams like that.

its an intriguing offer.....

if the Celtics offer TAtum that is obviously hte trump card...

but- say these are the other offers:

Knicks- hypothetical 3rd pick, Knox, Ntilikina, future 1st

Lakers: Ingram, Kuzma, Ball, 2 first rounders and eating a bad K

Celtics: Brown, Rozier, Smart, 3-4 firsts

Clippers: SGA, Shamet, 3 firsts, etc.

It shall be interesting to see.

So, is this a wrap for Midget Isiah?

What a horrific turn his career has taken.

Some of it is due to injury.

BUT, some of it is due to his feelings of entitlement.

You are not Steph Curry.

You are not Kyrie Irving.

Shit, he isn't even Lou Williams or at least he should stop trying to be the Denver version of Lou.

The Clippers need Lou to go Kobe if we have any chance to win.

The Nuggets don't need that from him.

Pass.

They are going full rebuild.

Why would they want Derozan or Aldridge?

I like Murray.

But, he's injured.

They didn't want injured Porzingis.

Why would they want a injured lesser guy?

Your picks are worse than the Lakers if you make the playoffs.

I would rather have Tatum and the Kings pick.

I would rather have Knox and the Knicks pick if it's top 3.

I would rather send him East to avoid him killing me 4 times a year.

All of those offers are better than what he proposed from the Spurs.

Well, not the Lakers if Ingram has long-term medical issues.

BUT, I'm sure they'd send him to the Spurs before they send him to the Lakers even if Brandon was healthy.

I don't even want the Clippers to throw their hat in the ring unless he's willing to sign immediately.

Boogie hates Paul.

Probably more so after Chris just stuck that needle in his eye.
