Right now? Sure
They should be the team in NY that free agents would love to sign with, from where the franchise was 5 years ago to now is a great improvement. Knicks have been a joke for most of the last 10-15 years.
Toronto had the same record last year. Indiana with Oladipo probably as good as the current team without him. Milwaukee a lot better but hard to say they are better than last year's Cavalier team.
Record not showing it, but would think Philly is better.
Not sure how East was such hot garbage last year compared to this one.
I know you don't care. Clear from your argument. East is better? I buy it at the top. "Clearly much better" Hyperbole and nothing more.Looking at records doesn't tell the story.
There are more good teams across the league this year. Toronto, Milwaukee and Philly are all clearly much better than they were last year. Much better. They have added key players, young guys who have been there have improved and they have more experience.
I don't care what the records are. The East is much better this year at the top than they were last. Once Kyrie went down there wasn't a single team capable of winning more than 1 lucky game against the Warriors.
I think they start White, Murray and DeRozan.
All 3 can handle the ball and create and honestly I think Murray and White are both capable of playing on or off ball.
I am an unabashed homer. Murray and White are two of the best young point guard prospects in the league.
Both have world class elite defense with athleticism. Offense will come eventually.
I just dont know if they can both play since both will have to be ball dominant.
Unless one develops a really good 3 point shot and wants to be an off ball guy, there is more value in trade appeal.
The Spurs have 2 #1 picks PLUS either one of these two to dangle in a trade.
A package of say WHITE + 2 FIRST ROUNDERS + ALDRIDGE/DEROZAN is a strong offer.

A strong offer for who?
you see this post of mine from earliet today? :I know you don't care. Clear from your argument. East is better? I buy it at the top. "Clearly much better" Hyperbole and nothing more.
Usually when teams are "clearly much better" they will show it in the standings. Crazy, I know, to think wins/losses matter some. Milwaukee is such a team who showed it. Philly, Boston, Toronto, Indiana? we'll see.
And the cavs took a bit of a step back.
its an intriguing offer.....Anthony Davis
1) Offering one of their prize young guards (Murray/White) or both if also necessary
2) Two first round picks they have this year, and a 3rd first rounder if also necessary
3) And then either Derozan or Aldridge to add a veteran ready allstar type player
That is better than just about any team besides Boston can offer.
And if they offered both guards, it would be arguably the best package out there.
I just dont see the Spurs parting with both of them. That would be a little too much to give up.

All of those offers are better than what he proposed from the Spurs.its an intriguing offer.....
if the Celtics offer TAtum that is obviously hte trump card...
but- say these are the other offers:
Knicks- hypothetical 3rd pick, Knox, Ntilikina, future 1st
Lakers: Ingram, Kuzma, Ball, 2 first rounders and eating a bad K
Celtics: Brown, Rozier, Smart, 3-4 firsts
Clippers: SGA, Shamet, 3 firsts, etc.
It shall be interesting to see.
