But it's not just one game with Klay and you know this. The deflection is talking about Green when the topic is Klay and you know this too.

Please never change
He asked if I watched "this game" to prove Klay is a max guy.

I did, so I wondered if "this game" means the same to Green.

Yes we saw what you did. He used that game as an example to show that Klay is much more than a good shooter who plays a little D. But keep deflecting to Green.

Please never change and ya gotta love this forum and so on.

Yep you would think KD is the only top player on their roster when you hear a comment like that.

Houston may not beat the Warriors in a series but i definitely think they're ready

That 3-1 record isn't without asterisks though. Game 1 was without Curry and Cousins. Game 2 was a 1 pt OT loss, also without Cousins. Game 3 was a real aberration, as Houston won comfortably without Harden with GS at full strength, not exactly a situation expected to repeat itself.

Cousins really seemed to be a problem for Houston tonight. Plus, refs tend to swallow their whistle in the playoffs, which limits the effectivity of Harden's ref-baiting and his production as a result.

Yep...because it is. You wanted to declare last night's game as proof Klay is a max guy.

Did you forget what you said?

Great defensive performance. I hope @dtgold88 was able to watch this game and see what Klay does. Dude locked up on defense had amazing rim runs and finishes, post ups and overall had 30 points. Dude is a max player no question.
You’re too defensive bro. I was hoping you saw the game to see how versatile Klays game is. We’ve had other discussions where I pointed out other things Klay does and you said you’d take my word for it because I’d seen more of it. I was hoping you saw it because it was a great example and showed his full game.

Wasn’t a shot at you at all. Was just saying I hope you saw the game to see what else Klay does.

OK, we can play it this way if you'd like.

Sure....Klay is a superstar, elite, etc. based on this game.

Now we can move on right? Is Green trash because of it?

I'm defensive? I've actually said Klay is better than I originally gave him credit.

But to answer your question, no, I didn't see it

Green is not trash but just as that game was an EXAMPLE of how Klay's game is more well rounded than you give him credit for, it was also an EXAMPLE of how Green has definitely regressed lately. Klay is a max player, Green is not.

And even then, Green's regression is on offense he's still a DPOY level defender

Considering he basically locked down Tucker and Faried?
locked up a guy who averages about 7 ppg and another who hasn't dressed/played in more than half his team's games?

Congrats?

And props for having a couple more points than you had in the game

I'm not sure either is. Klay might get a max or near max, but if that is proof that makes Love and TT max (or near max) guys.

Lacob seems like the Gilbert type in that money wont matter much so would assume he'll be way over the cap with a choice of signing Klay or no one close to his level.

To be fair by adding Cousins, Green can literally score zero points and be very valuable to the team. He's the 6th option, so his very real regression in his shooting is almost meaningless.

Klay will be offered the max by multiple teams. He is a max player. Love is not anymore, and TT isn't even close. This is simply a fact.

Which one of the two hasn't played in more than half the games? Faried has missed 5-6 games recently due to injury, but has been a huge part of Houston's success (basically a nightly double-double) since he was signed after being bought out by the Nets. Tucker is a glue guy on the team, maybe not best reflected in stats. You really should watch more games.

As of now, it's opinion. And Love didn't get max money but was near max (also just a bit older than Klay).

In addition, Love had already played under a max deal and earned roughly $30 mil more than Klay the last few seasons. Likes where he is so just signed.

i dont know how much more Klay can prove until he takes more of a role responsible for a team

he is a great, like the pinnacle of a 3 and D player......the ultimate 3 and D player.

is he more than that? hard to tell-

when you are playing with the greatest shooter of all time and a top 20 player of all time in KD, you are gonna be the recipient of lots of favorable matchups and favorable spacing....you can take it easy some nights and go balls to the wall other nights...

as the guy- its a lot different having to bring it every single night- then having nights wehere durant or curry step up and be able to focus on defense or take a back seat.

i think klay is greaet though dont get me wrong.

I think we all agree that for all his greatness he's probably not a #1 lead dog on a contending team. But that's the only thing "wrong" with him. Max player for sure.

Minnesota won 40 games in a rugged Western Conference his last year without much help.

There's probably a reason Klay has never had the chance to be a true #1. How do you think his team would do if he were the #1 on a team with talent = to Minnesota when Love was there?

And, no, Klay cannot create his shot as well as Love. The guy is a wing player and has scored 40 without dribbling more than a handful of times. come on.

Klay's also one of the few players that has scored 60 points in a game in below 30 minutes of game action. He made 8 3's that game. By my math, that's 24 points. I'm pretty sure there were other instances where he had to create his own shot as opposed to just chucking them from the 3. I'm not making the case btw, that Klay's the best SG in the league. But compared to Love, he's better. Love's a good scorer and has inside scoring over Klay (because of obvious size comparisons). But how about we focus on defense? Klay's one of the better defenders in the league, how's Love's defense?

My mistake....forgot the team who didn't play him was Brooklyn. So for the season he has not played in more than half, but not with Houston.

But he's at best a decent player.

Tucker? Shutting him down no great accomplishment as he doesn't avg. 8 per against the entire league.

defensive rebounding is defense. Love's among the best.

But I do love the when fans play the "let's look at defense" when all else fails....easy to do as no great way to "prove" anything.

Curry's, at best, an awful defender. Among the top PGs in the league?
