I would be alright with trading Holland if it meant Encarnacion was coming back and Tanaka was replacing him in the rotation.

I'm absolutely in on that deal

The fee is only paid after you negotiate the deal and it is signed. So even if you win the bid, but he doesn't sign, then you don't pay anything.

I think the player can negotiate with all teams that submitt the bid, so if 12 teams bid the max then the player can negotiate with all 12 teams.

We'll continue to lead the league in 'borderline' calls.

I'll continue to hold out hope that we bring back Lewin, and eventually get rid of Jim Knox.

I wasn't a huge fan; until he left. And the fans overall seemed to have enjoyed him. Didn't really understand why this move was made.

He has a job with the Mets now I think.

I guess so much for having an NBA game in Mexico. Seems Cheech and Chong were there and the game was smoked out last night.

Sounds pretty cool. That's a better system. Good luck Texas.

I've only had their packaged dogs, but I've wanted to try one of the dogs from Sams.

Way better than a nutrigrain bar, I usually get 2. All the more reason for me not to miss the gym today!

it is comical, they are taking a stand against Cano to get his price down and then give Ellsbury this ridiculous contract

:agree:....didn't understand it from their own internal side.

Maybe they do value Ellsbury, but wanted to make sure he wouldn't be back with Boston.

I don't know, but it sure seems like an awful signing, and will get much worse if Cano goes elsewhere.

Id rather trade prospects than established MLB starters with very friendly deals.

While their pitching is what needs money thrown at it

Right...now they NEED to sign Cano, because...they will not be able to afford Tanaka without going over the threshold

I posted a link about this awhile back if you had a chance to read it.

I think it significantly hurts Texas' chances, much like the international FA cap they added recently

Now we want them to sign Cano, that likely ends their chances at Tanaka

unless they forget resetting the threshold/tax penality, which they keep insisting they will do this season
I was thinking of Tanaka too and mentioned him, when I posted the yankees financial position awhile back, I can find it...if someone wants to read the article, it's here

unless they forget resetting the threshold/tax penality, which they keep insisting they will stay under to reset it

They can't afford to miss the playoffs again.
