Congrats Cavs on getting to the second round. I was hoping the Pistons could at least grab a game, but their lack of playoff experience showed through. I am just happy they were competitive in every game and did not embarrass themselves.

Yeah you guys really fought hard. Outside of the 2nd half of game 2, I was really proud of Detroit

You guys will probably win 2 playoff games next year after giving Howard 30 mil...

:trash:

* and the Clippers still wont make it out of the 2nd round :tsk:*

If Howard ends up in Boston I'll start rooting for the Heat.:D

Kyrie Irving is playing brilliantly. This is what LeBron envisioned when he came here- being able to have his teammates carry portions of the load instead of being run into the ground Spoelstra-style.

I think some people miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight be getting a bit nervous about those Cleveland Cavaliers title chances around here..mwahahahahahahahha.

Shouldn't Cavs fans be the only people nervous about title chances?
Why would/should anyone else be?

And right, James had no help here...:L

I think the biggest difference now is that James is smart enough to not trust his own outside shooting.

you just KNEW Kyrie was going to break out of his mediocre 3 pt shooting during the regular season.....47% in the series....scored 27 points a game to lead the team.

He really took the offensive pressure off LeBron and allowed LeBron to focus heavily on the defensive end and distributing. I think LeBron played GREAT GREAT defense in this series.

Pistons played a great series. Hats off to a young team with a bright future for competing hard and clean.

This was not your typical sweep of an eastern conference #8 seed. Every game was competitive.

Last 3 years the 8 seed in the East was 6 games under .500. These Pistons would've been the #5 seed in the West this year.

good post. Detroit did play well and was tough.

lets hope the Cavs can continue playing well, and can stay healthy etc. Every title team needs a little luck and its about time the Cavs got a little bit of a good run in my opinion.

Ty Lue really coached a GREAT series. Some of the out of bounds plays he called where truly great- in each game the Cavs had at least 1 out of bounds play that was executed to perfection for an easy basket or a clutch basket.

Lets just hope Kyrie can keep playing like that. Hes by no means great on the defensive end- but he has raised his game there---- and he just punished the Detroit defense. He will be tough to stop no matter who we play going forward.

It is one series and the Pistons were not equipped to match up.

Kyrie is phenomenally skilled, as talented as any player in the league, but his game lacks substance. I go back to the 3 hardenesque traits that make him difficult to play with:

Lack of defense
Holds the ball
Poor shot selection

Admittedly, the shot selection and defense were better in this series than I have seen in the past. If Cleveland commits to moving the ball and playing defense, hey might have a fighting chance in the Finals (especially if Curry is out). Still though, I think people are overreacting to success against a mediocre team.

I just think they did what they needed to do. The Cavs didn't even play that good of a series honestly. I think Lebron was kinda sitting back this series trying to get the main, key guys involved and in grooves. Love played one really good game but didn't play a great series scoring wise, he rebounding very well. JR had a great series and so did Kyrie. So there is a couple good things to take from this series. They limited their turnovers as a whole also. They are far from playing their best and they need to move the ball more. Part of it was Lebron didn't get involved as much as he usually would but I think he did that for a reason. This series was over before it started so I hope we see better play but I saw some good things from this series that didn't mean much honestly though.

Yeah he doesn't need to, he has other guys that can shoot. He needs to attack like he did most of this series and post up and I think we will see more of it. He really didn't get involved much in most of this series, he was sitting back letting other guys get in a groove or trying. Love didn't really have a great series scoring except for that first game but at least he had chances and feels more comfortable now.

Thought Kyrie showed a lot of class in his post game interview. Gave a lot of credit to the Pistons and talked about what great player Caldwell-Pope is. Really starting to like this kid.

That series was about as close and entertaining as a 4 game sweep can be. If Detroit can keep this team together and get Drummond up to over 50% on free throws, they are going to be really good for awhile.

The only thing that really matters is Stanley Johnson still in LeBron's head?:noidea:

 Loved the confidence, but I hope SVG has a conversation with him about "not poking the bear."

Yeah never a good idea when a 19 year old kid tries to call out a 13 year vet.

this was an important few games for Kyrie.

His goal for the season was just to get to the post season healthy and ready to go. He did that- and obviously stepped up his game when he had to these last 4. I just hope its a sign of things to come and it continues throughout the postseason- becuase if KYrie can take a decent amount of the scoring load off LeBron- it can free up LeBron to be the all around great player that can just dominate a series in so many ways.

R.I.P. Pistons, you were overmatched and outplayed. 10 playoff losses in a row is not very good.

You have to work your way up slow. Have to get him over 35% first :laugh3: He was 11-33 from the FT in the series. WOW!
