I find it really strange that Ngata had a lower snap count than Ulofoshio when Ngata looked reasonably solid at ILB when he had a chunk of snaps against Arizona. I don't think Ulofoshio had many/if any meaningful snaps on defense before that game.

yeah that loyalty card toward upperclassmen needs to be thrown out along with the Boise playbook! It’s time to act like a big boy program

Couldn't agree more. Even if the younger guys would be prone to more mistakes or play worse, at least they'd get experience and I've made it very clear that I don't think the younger guys could be much worse than Manu and Wellington. Even though Ngata is undersized and mostly worked at OLB, he looked pretty good against Arizona at ILB.

His drops this year have been really weird since I can't recall him dropping many/if any passes in previous seasons.

I think he's a strong NFL prospect but his size and blocking may relegate him to the second round unless someone falls in love with his receiving ability - which is a definite possibility in today's NFL.

Jacob Eason has a choice: Declare for the NFL draft or lead UW to a potentially historic season

Mince no words here, if you don't like Eason or simply don't want to see him back next year, you are praying for him to have crazy good games the last 3 weeks and their bowl. The more he struggles, the more his draft stock might leave him ready to come back and attempt to raise his stock back up for the following draft.

Could be in the minority here but I'd rather have Eason come back and iron out some of his flaws than have a starting QB in 2020 without any meaningful snaps. I suppose this means I have to root for him to shit the bed and hope that the Huskies still win anyway.

Doesn't really matter though because I'd be willing to wager any AVI bet that he'll declare for the draft unless he suffers a serious injury.

I doubt you are alone. I wouldn't have a problem with him coming back. I honestly don't trust the offensive staff no matter who is taking the snaps.

Eason makes throws that has NFL OC's drooling, but we have also seen poor decisions, forcing balls and paying for it, and he needs a LOT of work in pressure and broken pocket situations.

We don't know if any of the kids behind him would do so much better at the things Eason struggles with that it overcomes the passes that clearly none of them would make that he does effortlessly.

I expect the offense to be better no matter who is back there. I think the kids they have protected the red shirts on are going to make major impacts at receiver and they have some outstanding options running it.

I would worry more about QB if the staff had the nuance to use any of them to their max. They don't.

I would like to see him come back. I think he would benefit from it as well. I honestly feel the offense is going to be 10 times better with the younger guys at the wide out spots plus Otton at tightend

Agreed on Eason. I think the biggest thing he needs to work on is identifying blitzes and playing better under pressure. I wasn't surprised to see that so far when Eason has been under pressure he has a 39.7% completion percentage (29 of 73) with 5 touchdowns, 2 interceptions and 7 sacks. Obviously it's harder for a QB to perform under pressure, but that's pretty awful. For all of Eason's strengths, if I'm an NFL scout that would tell me he needs more seasoning and likely isn't a guy who could be a day-1 starter.

With the offense it has sort of been a perfect storm of issues. Eason's performance under pressure, all the drops, lack of strong WR play, and lack of offensive adjustments.

That was honestly one of the weirder games I've ever seen the last few years by the Dawgs in the sense it went the exact opposite of how I thought it would go. I expected the offense to explode and the defense to give up a lot of yardage. Makes me wonder if I know what the fuck I'm talking about anymore.

Agreed. I still wish Haener would've stayed because if Eason goes to the NFL, the job next year would've been his to lose IMO.

My biggest concern is losing a bunch of starters on the offensive line. We've recruited extremely well there the past few years so hopefully it won't be an issue. I can't wait to see an entire season of Puka Nacua starting at WR. I think he'll be the most exciting offensive player we've had since John Ross.
