The best way to solve this problem up the roster by 10 plus .. this will give teams the power to rotate players in and out... and instead of 7 round draft put back the 14 rd draft i have emailed the league many times start a minor league system not each team but each team put 10 players on team East roster thats 40 players... yes this is a vialent sport but if nfl does this losins trent williams is no big deal because if you draft right and use free agent right you can draft a top notch LT in second rd to rotate him in and out with trent williams.. kind of the phisophey of whats better 1 new car or 4 used cars with 80,000 miles at the same price of 1 new one

If you up the roster by ten, this doesn't prevent anything. You still go from better players to worse players on a unit that requires cohesion.

Going from 7 rounds to 14 rounds does not make a difference. You are not limited to 7 rounds of drafting. You can get players undrafted in FA, essentially the same thing as rounds 8-20.

A minor league system does nothing except up the cost to the franchises. They will never make enough money to warrant their existence.

Did you really just suggest we rotate offensive linemen on different plays?

O lines work as a cohesive unit - you don't constantly rotate players & - when healthy - you certainly don't rotate the best OT in the NFL unless you also want to get your QB injured. Bad idea. Skins just have to hope for better luck w/ injuries moving forward.

There has been some conversation among owners to eliminate the inactives. They are already paying those guys. Why not let them dress for the game.

There is no reason to increase the draft from 7 picks. As previously mentioned you can sign UFAs till you hit your max number of players. Instead of taking what is available at rounds 8-14 you can focus on positions you feel you need help at or take guys you like.

While I agree with this in principle. the flip side of that is if you happen to be a team flush with cap space you have a decided advantage in going after UDFA's. Sure they are undrafted for a reason. But the whole point of the draft was to prevent the baseball experience, where you have 3-5 teams with deep pockets hording all the talent year after year.

I like the idea of getting rid of the inactives on game day. That makes a lot of sense, especially if the owners are paying them anyway.

The redskins sure wouldn't be in the predicament they have been over the last 2 games if they could manage the inactive list as if they were active.

P.S. Did Mack Brown sign elsewhere? I hope not. I liked him.

edit:

Mack Brown was claimed last monday by...... wait for it...... the VIKINGS.

Awesome.

Was Brown injured this year? If not why didn't he ever get a shot at the title far as being the chief runner in a RBBC? RB is a position Gruden doesn't seem to value much.

Don't believe so. Can't find anything on a fine. Here's the late hit by rookie Barnett. Apparently he has done this type of thing before.

Redskins fans go crazy after refs miss unnecessary roughness call involving Brandon Scherff

That's garbage and its shit like like this that exposes the NFL powers that be for the hypocritical ass0s that they are when it comes to player safety. The NFL rightfully suspended Mike Evans today and he should've been 86ed from the game Sunday. But what both Evans and AJ Green did Sunday wasn't shit on the potential to seriously hurt and/or injure meter. Whereas what Derek Barnett did to The Scherff could reasonably be seen as an attempt to purposely and blatantly do great bodily harm to Scherff. Barnett's ass needs to be stepped in deeply by the NFL, Significantly deeper than they went with Mike Evans. That shit shouldn't be tolerated at all yet it was completely ignored.

Just look at the hypocrisy of Sunday.

Mike Evans- suspended and should have been. Ran up behind the guy and tackled him.

AJ Green- nothing. Walked up behind Ramsey, threw a rear naked choke on him, took him down, and started to punch him in the back of the helmet.

And please tell me why Ramsey was ejected, let alone suspended.

Not saying that I agree w/ this, but I believe that the NFL's logic is that Green was tossed out of that game & therefore already did his time. Again - don't agree w/ this & believe he should be suspended at least 1 game. Totally agree on Ramsey. NFL doesn't care about fairness - this is all about public perception & sparring star players like Green. Hell - they might have even not suspended Evans if TB wasn't playing like shit now & if Winston were actually playing next week.
