I'm fine with loses in 2022....for the greater good, so to speak. All fair points, but I think that watching this team next year is going to be a bit of a painful slog. I'm currently think 5 is over/under on wins.

I see the Seahawks being competitive 2023 and a playoff team by 2023-2024. Glass half full.I'm fine with the losses in 2022 if it means that we can rebound back to being a contender in a couple of years. But that seems really unlikely.
The way I see it, PC won't be our coach in 2023 and we will be seeing stories about the hubris of PC/JS being their downfall. I hope I'm wrong.

With the first pick in the 2023 draft the Seahawks take xxxxx QB from YYYYY
Oh man it could happen, but I'm hoping not.My fear - With the first pick in the 2022 draft the Seahawks take xxxxx QB from YYYYY
No guarantees of course but better odds picking early then late that why 1st round picks are more valuable then 7th round picks. Think everyone is aware that QBs can bust no matter where they were picked.I think a lot of fans imagine that getting that No. 1 pick means future greatness when it rarely does.

Not if by design to execute a rebuild plan.Sure. But being the No. 1 overall pick usually means that you don't have a very good team. And it would almost certainly mean a new coach and GM.
Not in the same position as Pete. So apples and oranges.I would like to see how many coaches survived a 1 or 2 win season that weren't recently hired.

Jodi is obviously in Pete's corner or the trade never happens. Doubt she thinks 2022 is going to have many wins and whatever Pete's plan is has been explained by Pete to her and she's on board with it. If 2023 arrives and the plan starts coming to fruition the fans will come around ( those that aren't all ready on board). The plan looks solid, draft capitol-check, cap space-check, maneuverability to make moves-check.Maybe. The only difference is that Jodi may or may not care how well the team does.
But the fanbase was already getting antsy with him before last season.
Honestly if the Seahawks win 5 or 6 and the Broncos make it to the AFC title game that would probably be enough to turn the fans completely against him.
Of course if the Seahawks win 10 and the Broncos miss the playoffs, Pete would be completely vindicated.

Speculation based on your feelings on trading RW, it's ludicrous to say that Pete feels he can be competitive in 2022 because that just isn't a practical thing to expect ( or maybe I should ask you what constitute being competitive). I know Pete does a lot of coach speak where everything is peachy keen but doesn't mean he actually doesn't see the problems. I do expect Pete will try to win every game he can because that is how he's wired.think it is far more likely that they said that they needed to reset at QB but that they would be competitive in 2022 and ready for a title in 2023.
