It was never a good trade, regardless of how well Bradford performs. You have to analyze a trade as of a point in time.

Bradford was a HIGHLY injury prone QB that showed some flashes, but was never WTF ELITE. Thus giving up a 1st rounder as a knee jerk reaction was retarded.

I never had the Vikings ranked #1 in the NFC and not sure why people did. They have absolutely NOTHING on offense. SAM BRADFORD!? THAT!?!! THAT was supposed to save the season!? Give me a fucking break.

I'm all for defense, but you have to have SOMETHING on offense. Vikes don't have it at all. Also going to say, IMO they'll never win a Super Bowl with Teddy at QB.

Teddy is like the definition of average QB. Not clutch, nothing flashy, predictable, will not take over games...

I GUESS if the Vikes assemble a RIDICULOUS team around him, but drafting guys like Treadwell make me fail to believe in that.

I was shocked to see how many people that thought that Bradford was some kind of savior for the Vikings season. The guy has never shown anything worthy of those kinds of expectations.

When they made the trade they had Adrian Peterson. Bradford is still helping to develop their #1 WR. The stupidest thing the Vikings did was draft a WR instead of OL. Not the Bradford trade.

I don't blame the Vikings for trading for him. But I do not understand the lofty expectations of him from some fans.

the problem is that the trade gives up their best shot at a solid OL stud for next year. Sure you can find great OL in all rounds, but better if you had a top 15 pick to get one of the top 3 OT's.

I agree, he's not horrible. He's a solid QB. To me this has still been all about Minny, not Bradford. Minny panicked and overpaid for a QB that isn't worth the money to step into this situation with this OL a week before the season starts (or however short time it was) and able to win it all.

I base all this on my thinking that he is just a rental, so the price was too high. If he sticks around for another contract then the price may be worth it even without a title.
