Here ya go @tzill , you sound like this dope

Word games about Bonds roiding up are boring. We both know what I meant, that the roided up unicorn who signed here years before the park opened does not disprove my point that lefty sluggers will never sign to play in that park.
I don't necessarily disagree, but didn't like the "illegal" adjective.

You want to talk about the ballpark. How about these factors?

-California State taxes
-The perception that San Fran is a feces-covered hellhole(this is why JD Martinez didn’t want to play there)
-The Giants didn’t make the best offer for a guy like Harper(and they never really do on big name free agents)

Nah. Can’t be any of those. Better to blame the scary ballpark!

Triples Alley!! Oh, the horror!!
And yet, they had Correa.

And then they got cold feet. I don’t think they even tried to add any exclusions to their offer in order to make it more palatable. They just let him walk. And it also might have been the right move.

OK and I concede that yes, you are technically correct, but it's semantics.

The Mets seemed to agree with the Giants’ assessment.

But to say …
I don’t think they even tried to add any exclusions to their offer
is complete fantasy. You base that opinion on nothing.

My equally fantastical theory is that Correa and Borras were pissed that the Giants bailed and closed negotiations. They immediately jumped to the Mets, so fast that additional negotions couldn’t have possibly happened between the Borras and the Giants.

Neither of us know if the Giants tried to add any exclusions to the deal after the deal with the Mets fell apart. I’m guessing they just moved on. Meanwhile, I don’t think Correa has missed any time due to that ankle. Regardless, you can’t use Correa as an example of the Giants “breaking the bank” when he was never even signed. Fair?

I never use him when listing Giants signees.
