I worry the effect this will have on Teddy, he needs all the help he can get with no running game.

Yeah, with Peterson finished, it sure would have been nice to at least have had Rudolph stay healthy to give Bridgewater a great TE threat. Really, now his true weapons are down pretty much to Patterson and Jennings. With Peterson and Rudolph out, this start is only going to be harder on him than Ponder had back in 2011. I want to see Bridgewater play, and it looks like he will continue to, but I really think they should have considered putting Ponder out there rather than feeding Bridgewater to the wolves and hoping for the best. I guess we'll see how it goes.

Now that Matt Cassel is on the IR and out for the year, how long of a leash do you give Teddy?

With Atlanta coming in and averaging over 30 pts per game, no balance in our attack with AP gone, Kyle Rudolph out and a left tackle that is missing at times.... They're going to have to take some chances if they want to win... is that still the goal?

The Vikings also placed guard Brandon Fusco on injured reserve after he hurt a pectoral muscle on Sunday against the Saints, taking him off the field for the season just three weeks after Minnesota signed him to a contract extension.

It's the first significant injury for a Vikings offensive line that has had the same five starters since 2012, and it means the team's running game -- already lagging without Adrian Peterson -- will lose one of its best blockers.

To fill Cassel's and Fusco's roster spots, the Vikings signed tight end Chase Ford and offensive lineman Austin Wentworth from their practice squad. The Vikings also brought back quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson -- who had been with the team in 2012 and part of '13 -- as a practice squad player and signed tight end Ryan Otten to the practice squad.

Kalil definitely needs to get back to pro bowl form. Zimmer had made a statement that Kalil can not get a bad play out of his mind. He keeps thinking about it..he needs to let it go, and get ready for the next down.

As far as your leash for Teddy question.
I say they let him take a few lumps, but if he starts regressing, put him back on the bench.
IMO the kid looks good to go though.

That's an interesting point that I hadn't heard. I know he played through some injuries last year. Let's just hope he can right the ship and get it figured out.

As for Teddy, my only concern is that he becomes another Tarvaris or Ponder, never getting a real oppportunity to develop. I mean, if he really were pro-ready, he wouldn't have lasted until the second round.

I guess we'll see, but how much fun can he have if he has little protection and no real weapons outside of Patterson?

We have Asiata...he's SOMETHING. Do we still have Webb as a WR? God, I feel like I know nothing about this team anymore.

That's my biggest concern with him as well. That's what I meant about getting him back on the bench if he starts getting figity in the pocket, or bails out and runs.
