Dont get me wrong... Lynch was very good but look at the comparisons.

1. Lynch was never the leader or best defender on his team. Dawkins was the heart and soul of the Eagles D.
2. Lynch has 2 All Pros from various organizations. Dawkins has 6. (3 times as many)
3. Lynch had 26 interceptions. Dawkins had 37 (Almost 50% more for Dawkins)
4. Lynch had 13 sacks. Dawkins had 26. (Dawkins had twice as many sacks)
5. Lynch had 490 tackles. Dawkins had 778. (Dawkins had almost 300 more tackles)
6. Lynch had 36 passes defensed. Dawkins had 98 (3 times as many passes defensed)
7. Lynch had 10 forced fumbles. Dawkins had 36 forced fumbles (3.6 times as many FF)

Its really not even close brother.

well apparently ppl disagree with you, just like center

John Lynch was good but he was no where close to Dawkins, Polamalu or Ed Reed good. If you think Lynch was as good as Dawkins you simply don't know football.
you think center isnt important, you dont know football, we've proved that, and alot of ppl who know more than you dispute your claim here, what does that say about your knowledge base

Look at the freaking stats dude... it's not close. Talking Center is subjective. People can disagree on that. People can't disagree on Dawkins and Lynch cause it's not even close. Those numbers are tremendously better for Dawkins across the board.
This just shows you how close minded you are. Dawkins smashed him across the board and you still can't even be like, "Wow, I didn't know that Dawkins made 4 more all pro lists then Lynch". Instead... with such tremendously better stats by Dawkins you still dig in and can't admit it. Ahhh, the Hoop. Gotta love it.

Ray Lewis
Randy Moss
Steve Hutchinson

are locks.

Urlacher is likely

Seymour and Barber are on the cusp.

IMO

Moss a lock first ballot? Maybe, but I'm not so sure. The NFL voters love to make examples of people who were a-holes while playing. Lewis will face the same issue.

Both should get in first ballot, both will get in soon, but first ballot lock isn't a given based on the voters feeling like they finally have a way to get back at the guys they didn't like.

I don't think it will be unanimous or anything but I would be surprised if they weren't selected in the first ballot.

Moss and Lewis were both premier players at their position ever.

You're just proving to me that you don't come here to talk football objectively. It's more fun just being stupid and close minded. One made two all pro teams and one made 6. Dawkins stats absolutely demolish Lynch's stats... and I mean DEMOLISHES them. But every major Stat and all those people that voted Dawkins to 6 different all pro teams doesn't matter. Right?

Why is this a comparison between Lynch and Dawkins? Safety position doesn't get the respect it deserves. I think Dawkins belongs in the HOF, but not before Steve Atwater.

No, go look at Atwaters stats. Dawkins obliterates his stats. Atwater was just an knock out Artist and was very good... but it ain't close. People have forgot about Dawkins run from about 1999 to 2006. It's not even close. Atwaters stats are worse than Lynch.

Atwater averaged 97 tackles and 2 ints per season. What was Dawkins? Denver rarely safety blitzed so I'm not going to include sacks.

Yeah... 3 people was everyone. Why do you think the experts voted Dawkins to 6 all pro teams and Lynch only twice. The Center argument was subjective... this one isnt. It's like saying Steve Nash was better then Michael jordan. It's not even close not only did Dawkins destroy him in EVERY stat... Dawkins was named to 4 more all pro teams. Stupidity.
