Are they ever going to get full coverage of the FO? I hate NBC's coverage of it during each of the tourney's weekends, and I don't like their tape delayed, condensed coverage. I usually now wait until the Tennis Channel coverage starts, for the SF, so I can record a 7-8 hour block of the full SFs.

I've liked ESPN's coverage of Wimbledon the past two years. I especially like how they have the trophy ceremony with no commercial breaks, just 20 minutes of straight celebration coverage.

NBC, meanwhile, has a commercial break every 2 mins during the FO ceremony.

NBC extended their coverage of the French Open through 2024. Not kidding.

It's the one major that I think ESPN doesn't care to control because it's the one Americans tend to care about least. Figures, since it's my favorite to watch by far.

He's losing to players outside of the top 100 lately. The new blood has already arrived and is in full force in case you hadn't noticed. Fed probably won't contend for another major again. Even if he gets through Robredo, he'll get demolished by Nadal in the next round. Don't worry, bro, you'll have plenty of chances to rejoice in Fed's losses. He's in the twilight of his career, hoping against hope to maybe get just 1 more major. The odds are extremely slim.

The AO has become my favorite major, they've seemed to have the best matches the past several years on both men's and women's.

I like all the majors though, as long as there's a good matchup.

I don't know what you're talking about. Viewership is higher in the US for the Aussie Open than the French, I think.

I, as an individual, happen to like watching the French more than any other major. I do like them all, though.

I don't expect Fed to ever win another major, but it's still hard to see him struggle so badly against (relative) nobodies.

He's a step slower, and his backhand is one of the weakest shots in the top 10 now. It had to happen. It's just tough.

I'm surprised I can't find broadcast ratings for majors on a wiki somewhere. I can find them for other sports like NBA and MLB.

I did. For the schadenfreude directed at Fed. He's a shell of the player he was. Seems like that would be enough for anybody who is an actual tennis fan, no matter how much they hated seeing Fed win majors.
