So I'm here examing the mens draw and looks like we may see a Querrey/Fed 3rd round match and a possible Rafa/Isner 4th round

Thoughts on the draw and predictions

First thoughts soon as I clicked on the women's draw is that Schiavone fell off that much that she's facing Serena in round 1? WOW

Thoughts on the draw and predictions

For the two matches you listed, I'd predict Fed in 3, and Rafa in 3 or 4.

If Fed makes the quarters, Rafa will beat him in 4.

I predict Rafa, Murray, Nole, and Ferrer will make the semis.

Rafa has the easiest road to the final in US Open history, and if he doesn't win it, I'll be shocked.

I'm not making WTA predictions because they're all such headcases.

So we may possibly have a Serena/Sloan Quarters or a Serena/Venus quarters.

As for the mens draw that Djoker/Dimtrov 3rd round could be real interesting but outside of that I'm almost certain we will see a Djoker/JDP quarters.

Murray quarter is really weak.

The Ferrer quarter is wide open IMO. I'm thinking we may see a QF match between Raonic and Jerzy Janowicz.

Verdasco can give Nadal a good 3rd round match. You don't remember their classic a few years ago on the hard court at the Aussie Open?

Nadal is playing better on hard courts than he ever has in his career.

Verdasco has fallen off big time.

That will be an easy win for Rafa.

Verdasco had a good run at Wimbledon. I know it is a different surface but he took Murray to a 5th set losing 7-5 in the 5th

And Rafa has not lost a single hard court match this year, beating multiple top 10 players repeatedly. He won Indian Wells, Canada, and Cincy, all of which are Masters 1000 tournaments.

Verdasco hasn't even managed to beat a top 40 player on a hard court (and lost to somebody ranked outside the top 100), and is nowhere near the player he was a few years back.

Rafa is far from a favorite of mine, but come on now. lol.

That would be a good result for him.

I'd actually love to see him beat Rafa.

Same here and I agree if he is able to take Rafa to a 4th set that it is a good result for him.

Nadal is going to take Verdasco to the woodshed.

On the women side I do not see anybody putting a challenge to Vika. Barring any injuries Vika should reach the finals on the women side.

I think Delpo beats Nadal in the finals. Janowicz could make the semis as well as Berdych.

On the women Serena and Vika should make the finals. Don't be surprised if one of the Romanians makes the semis. Halep is on fire and Cirstea can outhit anyone if she keeps the ball on the court. She is also in much better condition these days.

JMac said today on the USO preview show that If Serena loses

It will be because of Serena, not because of something another player does.

Venus plays the 12th seeded Flipkins 2nd on Ashe tomorrow followed by Rafa/Harrison.

Serena and Roger get the night session at Ashe.

An interesting match I will pay attention to is Jankovic against Keys which is the 3rd match on grandstand. Not really many interesting matches tomorrow but it is usually like this for the most part until the 3rd round.
