Scott Frost seems like a big up and comer in the G5 world as well. Look, it comes down to does Scott Frost want to go "home" or does he want to win big.
HAHA, funny back hander there. He can do BOTH. So i win!

How many big P5 jobs were open, so far there are 3 huge P5 jobs that are more than likely another Mid-lower tier (oregon st) the early odds doesnt mean squat it is all about Vegas keeping the money people bet :D Both Charlie Strong and Tom Herman were big "up and comers" in the G5 so it was safe odds given who was searching for coaches.

Muschamp and McElwain were also going to be 'the next big thing.' That's why I worry about Frost at UF. A proven entity would certainly be nice after 2 miserable fuck-up for hires.

Yea i dont see Florida having patience with another G5 up and coming coach, where the ties to NU, the current state of things, would clearly give him a longer stay of execution should he stumble in the beginning.

It's just such a huge job. The fundraisers, the money, the expectations and the players who've been told their hot shit since 8th grade.

The more you look at it, you realize why Saban's management style has been thee one to work. You can't just throw some young feller like Muschamp, who was a great DC, in there to run a big company. Hell, it sent CUMstain to the hospital 7 times with anxiety attack heart attacks! And he refused more than a few fundraising or other distractions per year.
McElwain should've fired our OC by his 3rd game when it was apparent he sucked. Loyalty and friendship have no place at this level...produce or gtfo. Being a good shit cost him at least 10 million dollars.

You never know, Frost might be perfect...but it's a helluva' big job for a young ginger. He does seem like kind of a tough bastard, though.

If you find the article, i posted the link in the other florida thread, regarding scott frosts love/hate relationship with nebraska it details a lot of what he went through when he defected to stanford only to come running home he was hazed and had to earn his way back into the hearts of nebraska fans, in the end though it worked out best for both parties. He has had to endure a lot mentally when it comes to being boo'd by 90k fans on home field and other such things.

I think you hit the nail on the head though florida needs a phenomenal OC and DC and a great manager, one who can direct all the moving parts to their fullest, not that he wouldnt have to do the same for Nebraska but he will get a bit more hand holding here and more room to breathe, it is still a fish bowl here though too.

I wont pretend to guess what he does, for all i know he will stay where he is. the whole UCF excellence fund could be what he demanded to keep his assistant coaches, he knows his assistants are huge in what makes him so successful.

Time will tell but it sure is an interesting november to say the least (neither of our teams have much else exciting to talk about)

UCF is unbeaten, and coach Scott Frost is in demand; can the Knights keep him?

Why wouldn't a guy want the Florida job.
It's warm all the time.
Things to do all the time.
And you see more talent on your drive into work than you do in a 5 state area at Nebraska.

And he can fly his mother down for vacations.
No Brainer really.

Humidity, bugs ,tourists ,old people who drive 25 in a 55 mph.

I am hoping Florida hires Kiffen and he goes on a 10 game win streak against the Vols. Just sayin.

Serious question, who is a proven entity that would be available for UF to get?

Who cares who's available? Florida could blow 20 million out of frustration if they wanted to do so. No team's coach is safe....well, except for CUM. We don't want CUM or Muschamp or Mac back. All else are fair game - much like Meyer was fair game while he was still our coach.
