Series Thread: Rangers Travel to Oakland For Three Games September 24-26

Can't see the game. What's been happening?

Twice in the last inning there were two delays to clear a smoke bomb and a beverage can from RF. He had Rooker at 0-2 before the delays and ended up walking him.

Leiter looked much better today. The walk to Rooker was probably a good thing because that guy is dangerous.

To pass either the Blue Jays or the Pirates, tbise teams would have to win 2 more games than the Rangers this weekend. That most likely will not happen. The Blue Jays do play the Marlins, though. The Pirates play the Yankees.

We also have to worry about the Reds catching us. We can't win more than they do this weekend or they go past us. They play the Cubs.

Outside of that last blowup game against Seattle, he's looked much improved.
He should be given every opportunity to win a spot in next year's rotation along with Rocker, who is close to a shoe-in himself.

He should get some innings against the Angels. He looked emotionally more in control this time out and that was in front of 50,000 fans.

Man, I sure hope he gets a look against LA. His confidence is building, and it would be great for him to end the season on a real high note.
