Ragans with 6 shutout innings so far in a pennant race but KC as usual can't score.

Josh Smith has put together a modest 8 game hitting streak.

So Ragans pitches 6 shutout innings and KC wins 1-0 in 10 innings and with the tying run on 3rd with 2 outs Joey Gallo strikes out. Gallo is hitting 162. Guy still hasn't figured it out.

The Blue Jays lost again last night. We may be stuck at the 7th slot for draft lottery odds.
The Blue Jays and Pirates both lost again.

A great line by Jamey Newberg:

Name two local teams that don't run particularly well and can't stop the run.

Like I said before it doesn’t sound like CY is not going to make any changes to the lineup. I expect Taveras, Heim, Lowe and Grossman will be back next season. He said in an interview earlier that they all just had a bad year.

From Jeff Wilson:

The last hope for Crim fans is that the Rangers will designate Duffy for assignment when Duran returns and use the open 40-man spot to bring up Crim. Those of us who want to see him in the majors are past looking desperate, but that’s OK.

He deserves a look.

I expect both Sam Huff and Blaine Crim to be in the big leagues next year and for both to be playing somewhere besides with the Rangers. If they do well in the big leagues, it won't be because they figured it out somewhere else. It will be because the Rangers couldn't figure out things about each of them deserving a chance here.

If nothing else, to show appreciation for his success over these last 4 years. He can't prove anything much, at this point, but I think he deserves the recognition from the team.
