For the record, I don't know many Cowboy fans that want Manziel and that includes the legions that don't think Romo is the answer. Well there is one, but Fordman banned him a while back...Sadly I wouldn't actually be surprised if we took him, but Marinelli seems to be the one with Jerry's ear this offseason and I can't imagine he's seuggesting Manziel...

OK, here is my disagreement...Dallas can run the ball, they just aren't willing to...they panic when they get behind or have a few unsuccessful running plays and also audible out of a running play any time the defense gives them an excuse too.

I've already stated why. If he is talkign someone up, he wants nothing to do with that person, except to get him drafted 15th or earlier so one more good player is available at 16.

Is Jones losing his mind completely…. I"m not saying Manziel can't pan out to be a fine QB, but Dallas is soft on defense and your not winning in football with the worst defense in the NFL… If he trades UP to nab Manziel and gives up draft picks Cowboy fans have every right to freak out …. Dallas can't run the ball and they can't stop anyone on defense… THE LAST thing that should be on Jerry's mind is Manziel… You don't build a good team with sexy offensive picks year in and year out…

I can think of a few reasons for Dallas not to pick Manziel...

1) They have a truckload of money tied up in Romo.

2) They have to many holes to patch on defense as a result of FA.

3) They pick dead middle of the draft and would have to give up a few picks to grab him.

None of which Jerry cares about.

The only reason I can think of Dallas would grab him would be marketing. Having a Texas boy as the starting QB of 'Murica's team would put a lot of fans in the stands and sell lots of jersey's.

It may not make much football sense, but Jerry stopped caring about football a long time ago.

Money has never been an obstacle for Jerry (make it rain) Jones, and he would have no problem benching Romo if he had a crowd pleaser qb to hand the rains over to.....I think Romo is a pretty good qb that has had some bad luck at the worst times, but Manziel would seem to be far more exciting for the fans to watch IMO.

Romo is coming off back surgery and isn't a guarantee that his career is over.

But drafting Manziel won't happen. They'll go with Weeden if need be.

From a football angle he's out of his mind and has been for years.

Now from a marketing angle it's brilliant. Because adding Manziel will easily make the Cowboys the most talked about team after the draft and for a while which is what Jones cares most about.

Despite being mediocre for years the Cowboys still wound up with 5 prime time games this year which is just as many as actual good teams.

I don't doubt that Jones wants to win but he would much rather his team be a circus and rake in cash than being boring winners.

Jones himself is the circus...but he bought a franchise with the history of winning SBs...won a few under his rein, he already has a built in fan base, beautiful stadium, etc.

Winning even if it's boring gets you all the attention you need...but he's going to rake it in regardless as long as the team is competitive...I'm not a big JM guy as a pro QB, but I don't see him jumping up that high to get him.

Jerry is crazy like a fox in the hen house but I don't believe he is crazy enough to trade up to draft Manziel unless he landed at 16 then all bets are off when it comes to Jerry Jones and the big top Circus. You really think so? I think he'd be new, would create a buzz...at this level, Romo is 3 times the QB that JM is and I don't really like Romo's game....under pressure that is.

Drafting Johnny Football

Well, I vote JohnnyGo. I may not be a fan of all his speakings, but he's young. I get it.

I think he will do well, but it does depend on the system. As a HUGE Russell Wilson fan, Johnny has said some things that make me go WTF, but, he can still play the game. Back to RW, what if he was drafted by ?????? ......what would the result be, certainly NOT what it is today. RW, game Manager, who the fuck cares outside of Hawk fans, you want to call him a game manager, sure. Hawks still win the SB.

Back to Manziel, he is an awesome talent, size wise like RW, but even more elusive.
My Seahawk Crush on Wilson, well you know. No Doubt. Manziel........exciting. I say YES on Him.

Who will pass on him? Gosh I love Football.
