Although I don't know why he's expected to sign with Texas......he hasn't OV'd to Texas yet, and since it's the dead period, he'd have to set it up. He's never been high on Texas, he was committed to Georgia a loooooooooong time ago. He doesn't have any ties to the school or coaches either.

I think the only reason is because Aggy, r*pe Aggy and TCU are probably all done recruiting at that position.

I think MSU is losing the in-state recruiting battle:

Today Michigan picked up the #1 center in the class and a top 10 DE. Been a heck of a two weeks for recruiting. Michigan has picked up 4 or 5 four star kids and a five star kid in the last week and a half.

He was coming 2 weeks ago and Georgia killed it. Then Georgia had both RBs decide to stay and they asked Toneil to sign in Feb and not as an early entry. At that pt, Toneil decide to sign with Texas as an early entrant

Even though DIB is mid to lower 4 star he is a bigger get than Caesar. Caesar was a lock but DIB is kind of a flip from MSU.

Michigan's commit list is starting to get crowded... 24 commits already...

... yet look at the remaining targets:

Michigan 2017 Football Targets

Some of those kids better decide soon, or else they will be going somewhere other than Ann Arbor.

The only thing I like about him is his speed. Other than that I don't see much in his game.....hopefully he proves me wrong

NFL athlete. His vision isn't there. If you put Eno Benjamin's game into Toneil's body, you would have a sure fire 5 star and potential #1 RB

Exactly, no vision......no cutbacks. He's a downhill runner basically. We'll see how he shakes out.

Michigan's class is supposed to be in the 30-32 range so I don't think it's going to be a problem fitting anyone in. But what's amazing is we have a legitimate shot at signing 20+ four stars in this class. And by last count I saw something like 8-12 of these guys expect to enroll early.

They aren't doing well. And with only 6 or so weeks left before signing day, they're going to need a mad rush to catch up. With 6 four stars, though, they have an alright base to work with. They really just need numbers at this point. I expect them to finish in the top 20.

This was going to be a small class to begin with. They're probably only going to sign 15-18 kids. Unless they land another 4 or 5 star, this class will probably be in the 30s. They missed out on the 5 star they really wanted in Little, with him and Carter they would already be approaching top 20

Only 9 kids and 1 is a kicker. I don't expect it to be a top 10 class, due to size. Average rating is actually higher than OU currently, so it is not like it is filled with Jags. Only issue is Carson, I think he is one of the best player in Texas and I doubt he makes it in.

This happened to michigan in 2014 and 2015. We had really small classes and our overall ranking was hurt because of it. But the average star rating was on par with other classes. And that's really what is important. If all of your classes average around 3.8-4 stars, then it doesn't matter how many you take per class.

The only possible benefit is what Michigan saw this year with a HUGE senior class. On the other hand, you lose all those players and next year it will hurt us to not have as many kids with experience return.

Our average per player is fairly high. And next year's class will be HUGE in comparison. There's really only 3 or 4 players left that most of us as fans want to land to consider this class by Herman a decent salvage job.

The good news is that Strong landed such a huge DL class last year that we can afford to miss out on some guys this year. He really did leave Herman a good roster. There are some clear trouble spots but Herman shouldn't have a big problem addressing those.....QB, RB depth, OL, LB
