Edit: I'm looking forward to this season. I believe it will be a fun one to watch/anticipate. It is interesting to note, Poles mentioned he is not finished with the tear down/rebuild. We have all seen a ton of improvements (we all hope pan out positively) but it makes me curious where he is going to take this team!

Yeah, I caught a quote from him where he said there's still another phase remaining to complete the rebuild. I'd say he's done a pretty good job getting us to this point. He's spending the holiday weekend scouting a few college games. I'm guessing or at least hoping that he'll be focusing on the trenches. I believe these are the two groups that could most benefit with fortifying.

Amazing when you think about it how most of the units on this team are pretty much set for the foreseeable future. QB, WR, RB, LB, CB, S. All these spots are largely set. There's always room for improvement here and there, but for the most part we're good at those positions. Maybe this is what Poles means by the next phase - the all important trenches might be in his sights.

Food for thought. In the previous 15 years, only six teams had a +60 point differential in their respective preseason games. All six teams would go on to make the playoffs in those seasons. This year the Bears had a +68 point differential in their preseason.

Da optimist in me sees them running the table all the way up to the SF game. Even if it doesnt happen, the koolaid says 12-5.

Da pessemist sees yet another hyped QB that will need to find his NFL sea legs. But still can go 9-8 due to a favorable schedule.

The Bears are a hard team to predict right now as there is a tiny bit of "lightning in a bottle" potential.

Thing is that our division is tough and GB/DET are both going to be playoff viable so getting double digit wins may prove difficult.

9 wins seems to be the "safe" choice, so I'll say that, but if we hit anywhere between 8 and 11 wins I wouldn't be shocked. 7 wins or less and Eberflus is a goner.

7 wins is probably our best output at this point. Amazing level of fail even with reasonable expectations.

I have a feeling they are going to be competitive against the Fudge this week and the excitement for Waldron being gone will have a positive result, that might lead to a win against the viqueens, but then complete annihilation by the Lions on Thanksgiving.
Right now the only thing that possibly saves the Flukes job is beating the fudge.
