The Bears 2024 prediction thread

It's that time diehards to get your predcitions in for this year. The Bears regular season record, Norris standings, playoff chances, individual performances, whatever, whoever. Anything you feel will happen, post it here. That of course includes any BOLD predictions that others might not consider.

At the start of preseason I was mulling over the Bears record to finish either 8-9 or 9-8. However, the solid performances from our boyz in the four preseason games has caused me to now consider between 9-8 & 10-7. I want to wait until the final cuts or last minute additions to post my prediction. All I know is last year I sadly nailed their record at 7-10. I hope I can nail it again or even come up short and that they do even better than expected.

So did I. In fact, I even threw $20 on the Bears to win the SB. That's pretty much throw away money, but I figured, what the hell, if by some miracle of miracles we took it all, I'd be $3500 richer. And if not, no big whup.

First half of the schedule looks like it (potentially) could be nice for us to get out ahead of things and build some confidence heading into our divisional match ups (which strangely all take place after that).

I think we start 6-3 and finish 5-3 second half. Division outcome will be close, but this is a playoff team right now so long as Caleb's learning curve doesn't hinder us too much. If he's really the truth and ready to go? Watch out.

The Bears are a hard team to predict right now as there is a tiny bit of "lightning in a bottle" potential.

Thing is that our division is tough and GB/DET are both going to be playoff viable so getting double digit wins may prove difficult.

9 wins seems to be the "safe" choice, so I'll say that, but if we hit anywhere between 8 and 11 wins I wouldn't be shocked. 7 wins or less and Eberflus is a goner.

That's kinda my floor/ceiling as well, I'm just still debating whether to go with 9 or 10 wins (leaning toward 10).

Yeah, we do. In London on 10/13. NFL plays 17 games now.

I was simply saying that his "11-5" prediction was one off of what the total should be. He put down 6 losses.

All I know, is being on the west coast now, I am not looking forward to a 6:30 AM Bears kickoff on 10/13.

Getting up early isn't a big deal for me, but that's a weird vibe for a Bears game. I'll be in the bay area for work during that time frame as well. Just posted up in a holiday inn or wherever the hell I'm booked. Probably eating continental breakfast from the lobby, waking up with coffee, and watching the Bears kickoff from my bed in the room as the sun comes up. Not like there's going to be a sports bar open during that time.

Just... a weird Bears game day experience. lol

My hair is dark brown (with some gray in it), but my brain is blonde.

Lil, Champaign/Orange juice or a Bloody Mary or two pregame might help, get you into the spirit of it all?

Edit: I'm looking forward to this season. I believe it will be a fun one to watch/anticipate. It is interesting to note, Poles mentioned he is not finished with the tear down/rebuild. We have all seen a ton of improvements (we all hope pan out positively) but it makes me curious where he is going to take this team!
