I see us on the top end as being a 7 win team . The big question for some of you is why ?

My reasoning is simple , this off season we made some great strides adding JD5 , Wagner and Luvu. That 3 guys I feel that can start for a Super Bowl contending team ,

And this is the issue , how many guys do we have that can start for a contending team.

Now let’s look at our offense , I see the aforementioned JD5 , Mac , badass, cosmi and Robinson as guys who can do that . I see potentially Sinnot , Coleman ( somewhere on the o/line ) doing that , LMC being a contributor,

So after all this I see 5 current guys out of 11 being starters , with 2 needing seasoning

Now on defense I see Allen , Payne , luvu and Wagner doing that , with Martin and Sanistril, potentially getting there ( strongly ) possibly newton

So that is 4 out of 11starters can start for a contender .

The truth is 9 out of 22 are of superbowl contending quality .. we have some guys who can be contributors but the cold hard truth is this roster needs another full year of construction pending how guys are coached up

This is why I have been opposed to trading for a BA or a Higgins because that only gives us one more guy who can start for a contender . You trade for that type of guy to put you over the threshold not as a glorified building block while stifling your ability to improve the team long term in the future

Now if you put Homerism aside and really look at this roster then you know this is a sub 500 team . If you look at our cap and stockpiled draft picks you can see a path to being a perennial contender . A new draft class and some free agent additions like BA or Higgins allows you to maximize resources and allows you to keep core players and rotate new players in to reinforce your team with good young talent
I feel this today other than the win total . Amazing coaching job , JD being special and a defense playing better than I expected being the difference. Kudos to those who thought better

If you really want a good laugh, go read the Bucs postgame thread. Lol
Took a look lol. The detractors imo were dad, RedskinzDan, Sharkinva & of course Country wanting to fire everyone after week 1. It was week 1 for goodness sakes. While the defense (secondary) and run defense still look below average, the team as a whole has surpassed ALL expectations at this point. It's gravy from here on out.

I made a post last week after beating the Eagles in some form or fashion (not looking it up) that a win over the Eagles would do wonders for the locker room mental. Meaning, if you beat a true contender (Eagles are) the confidence will rise to a very high level and while they may not win a super bowl, they will certainly think they can beat anyone moving forward.

The HOT GARBAGE will win ROTY because he deserves it. No one is getting fired. The team improved from week to week. This team has SO many holes it isn't funny but still finding ways to win games. Possibly a 12 win team. That's ridiculous considering what we were just a part of the past 4 years with RR.

Last mention; You could put Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Stafford, Goff or any other top QB on our team, and let JD5 go to the respective team. Do any of these QB's finish 12-5? I believe there is no other QB more valuable to his teams success than JD5, none. 4-12 to likely 12-5 and he is the main reason for it. Not only should he be the ROTY by far, he should be in the top 3 of MVP voting. What we just witnessed may never be surpassed again by another rookie QB.

I know I'll get run for this but right now, I think Jayden is the 5th best QB in the entire league. Mahomes, Burrow, Lamar, and Allen. If Chargers and Packers fans want to push back on that....sure. Jayden has a smaller sample size than Herbert and Love. Jayden, Quinn, and Kliff are doing the most with the least.

Once you're in the dance anything can happen. That said, the roster is probably a year away.
