Yes, but to be honest, these kids really don't flip that often. It happens, but more often than not, these big-time blue chippers stick to their commitments at this point.

that's true for the most part. It's also more true for the somewhat local kids.

Those the greatest distance away are, numerically/historically, more likely to stay closer to home.

Big Texas high school game lastnight, Austin Westlake defeated Katy (6A State champs last year)in a rematch of last year's game. Both teams nationally ranked. Texas QB commit Sam Ehlinger:

They don't have a ton left. I think they said they expect 20 or 21 in this class, and they already have 18. However, I don't see Danny Clark staying in this class with Martell already here. He'll never see the field. It also looks likely that we'll swap Akers for Dobbins if he decides to be a Buckeye. They're trying hard to round it out with some mix of Okudah, Browning, Akers, Jay Tufele (4* DT from Utah), Anthony Hines and Jaylen Harris.

Cautionary tale . . . don't offer an in-state QB in their freshman year and let him commit on the spot. Love the kid. He's wanted to be a Buckeye his whole life, but is more of a drop-back pocket passer that doesn't fit the offense OSU runs. Rooting for him to land in a nice spot and do great things.

QB recruiting has been off the charts for the Buckeyes - Burrow, Haskins, Martell (2017), Emory Jones (2018)... It's the best I have ever seen at OSU.

Recruiting in general right now is the best I've ever seen at OSU. Urban and his staff are taking no prisoners. This 2017 class is going to be one of the best CFB has ever seen. There is a legitimate chance they end up with NINE 5* kids.

Bama and OSU are at another level for 2017 recruiting. Saban and Urban are absolutely killing it right now.

Didn't even know we were still recruiting this guy, but after Rodney went down for the year again, And Joe and Samaje eligible for the draft, makes sense. 4* RB Kennedy Brooks commits to OU. Hope he still has tread on the tires when he makes it to OU. 432 carries, 3,522 yards, and 42 TD's last year.

I think Ohio State's need for scholarships has more to do with Clarke decommitting than anything else. If they really felt they needed him, they would have fought for him to stay. (Meyer has won with pro-style QBs)

But since they have a scholarship problems and already have the #1 Dual-threat QBs committed in the 2016 and 2017 classes ... both sides mutually walked away from the table.

His comments where purse class though. Who ever snags him is getting a talented and humble kid ... wish nothing but the best for him.

I've thought Clark would be out for a long time now, but it makes me sad seeing Kentucky and Indiana trending for him. Talk about black holes. I'd love to see him at a place like Wisconsin where he can possibly flourish with a talented team. Such a great kid. Broke my heart to read his decommitment speech.

This is usually the type of kid that ends up at MSU or Wisconsin and lights our ass up. lol
