2 game suspension is appropriate. He barely blew over the legal limit, and the only reason he actually was pulled over was because he turned down a street and the police thought he was avoiding a DUI checkpoint (which he may have been doing, but also a good chance he was actually just going somewhere on campus). Still a stupid move for sure, but far from being a huge deal.

I hope for a 4 game suspension. My guess is that Urban will go real strict on him and go with a 2 game suspension, just in time to be back for the Michigan State game.

Not as bad as scUM fans, who are openly begging for him to be suspended for the rest of the regular season.

Why should he be suspended for 4 when the standard at Georgia is 2?

I haven't read much of this thread because I'm sure I know what's all in it.

I can guarantee JT feels like shit, if it's not dropped or a lesser charge like wreck-less ops a DUI is something that stays with you forever you can never get it expunged. I don't know if he took the breathalyzer so that could be key. I'm sure there's a crafty lawyer somewhere ready to take on the case.

Franklin County is a toss up of how it will go in the courts.

End of the day it doesn't define him, and if he learns from it then you can't hope for much more.

Per suspension, 1 game is fine with me. Outside of some code of ethics thing player may sign when playing I can't argue for more than 1 game. Not many employers force you take take a leave without pay if you get a DUI, barring that driving is your job.

As for high horse, please find even one example where I condoned what Georgia does with DUI's.

When Urban was at Florida he used to let this stuff slide. Since he came to Ohio State? Not at all.

Oh, and yes, DUI is serious and if you read the thread you would know that I advocated for what your coach would have done and made it two.
