Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles. Dominant performance. At least there's one successful franchise within this great sports town. They could absolutely go on a run for several years too.

I'm looking forward to the 4Nations tournament beginning tomorrow. Team USA is absolutely stacked, despite the injury to Quinn Hughes. I do believe that we have an edge in net and on defense over the other squads, yes, Canada included.

Not that this means anything significant, but Team USA also has the highest cap hit of Nhl talent at just under $186 million.

I cant believe we are wasting his best years. If i were him id be pissed off.
Yep, unfortunately we've done it to a few guys. Hope it ends up being worth it to him in the end. He doesn't seem like the type of player who is just happy he's making millions. Still think we've gone as far as we can with Torts at the helm, we need to find a coach with a broader vision.

Just like Lavi, Berube ,Hakstol, Vignault and now Tortorella.

Its not the coach. Its the lack of talent they have to put out there.

We can keep firing coaches but until we have some good to great talent out there we will be middle of the road or worse.

I Agree with you, but I personally don't believe Torts is a coach that can help make certain players grow, teaching accountability is one thing, but there's a wider spectrum and he isn't filling that part of it. Lack of talent is another reason but we have some potential waiting in the Wings, plus what we could aquire over the next two years could push things a lot faster. I'd just like to see a new prospective with maybe a little more offensive minded coaching. Don't know who is out there but just like to see something fresh.

This strategy would be great now if we only had some offensive talent. I wish i could say yes we do but we dont have any offensive talent waiting in the wings. What we acquire in the next two years wont be ready for 2 to 3 years just to be rookies in the NHL.

What do you guys think we could get for Kuzmenko who would be a rental to any tea 6that trades for him?

Keep in mind there are no wrong answers to this only opinions.

Probably not anything worth noting, maybe package him up with Risto or Laughton make a better trade deal.

Offer to eat 50% of the contract (just goes for this year, so doesn't matter to retain for the Flyers) and hope you get one of those last minute trade deadline deals for like a 4th round pick. Someone just throwing a dart in hopes to get some depth offense for the playoffs.

There is plan B also, which is a simple, get rid if everyone approach and start like an expansion team. It's hard to believe we are still this far removed from being a competitive franchise!
