Not to cut in on Richi's thread, but I think this new next three games is worthy of its own separate discussion. And they are huge on multiple levels. They're all against divisional opponents, including an 11 day separation between two of those against the Lions. This grouping has a playoffs-or-bust feel to them. Win all three and the Bears will be the team to beat in the Norris for the remainder of the year, and they'll control their own destiny, regardless of how the others play. Lose all three and we can start talking about next year.

Obviously, I think for us to keep our chances on the upside for making the postseason, we'll need to win two of the three. We can go 1-2 and still be very much in the hunt, but it will be that much more of a difficult road to travel. Let's hope Mack and Robinson will return to the fold and hopefully as close to 100% as possible, especially Mack. Let's go get em.

This will be the time where we find out if the Bears can make a case to be contenders or if they're just going to be pretenders. Division games are the ones we need to win if we expect to be taken seriously. As up and down as Detroit has been, they'll come to play in both games, and the Vikings are no joke. If we go 2-1 or better, then we can say we're for real. If we lose 2 then it's hard to get excited about much other than still having some potential for next year.

the bears aren't losing twice to the lions. the 2 vikings games remaining and the packers game will determine if the Bears are going to win the division or not. if they can go 2-1 in those 3 games, i like their chances.

Speaking of the Vikings, NBC has exercised its flex schedule rights and switched that game to Sunday Night. National game baby!!

Well anything is possible, but we've played 8 games so far this year and have yet to shit said bed. Yes, we gagged on opening night, we played tired against Miami, and actually came within a single yard of taking the Pats game into OT. All three were losses, but by a total of 11 points. In none of them did we play like shit, we simply couldn't close the deal. We've been in every game and in a few of the wins, we even dominated. We have a good team. Maybe not great at this point, but good. I think we'll be fine.

Funny... I was looking at that game this past week and thinking it could be flexed

I always like when home games are primetime. Makes Soldier Field that much tougher to play in.

I'll say one thing, that defense of theirs appears to be back. They are going to be tough to beat.

Bottom line is that even if we don't unlock the combination to beat the Vikes, if we take care of our business elsewhere we can let them trip over their dicks elsewhere like they did vs Buffalo (Still the biggest WTF game by far this season)

Bears are a year away from hitting on all cylinders so anything we do this year is gravy too me. This year I wanted to beat teams we should and compete. We have done everything and more then I expected this soon. MN is going to be tough and GB too. I don't fear the Lions at all. Unless we take the next step we aren't beating top teams. We could take that step by game 12 in this system or it could take a year.

Granted, they saw Allen instead of Peterman. However, that game makes even less sense after seeing what we did on the road vs Buffalo. The Bills trounced them in the dome. lol... So weird.

Home vs LAR in December should be a good measuring stick of where we are towards the end of 2018 and how far we have to go.

I had to resurrect this post, which has by now been buried on page two of the subject listings. Seriously, how many here thought the Bears would sweep all three of these games. I was hoping they could, but if you nailed me down back then for a prediction, I probably would have gone 2-1 with the Lions winning today's game. Whew!!! 8-3 baby!! Keep pushing the pedal to the metal!!

3 divisional wins in 11 days

We really have earned the right to be in firm control of the division.
