Including the game Dak played 10 plays 4-4. Excluding 4-3. They didn't lose one game they would have won if Zeke played. The idea that Zeke makes Dak is a silly narrative floated by people who don't watch Cowboy games.

Agree. And without Dak (and with Zeke) they probably win 4-5 games at best. Dak has them over a barrel right now.

If Dak is seeking $40M per year my only reasoning is that he is high.

If he wants $40M he won't get a contract and will be tagged for 2 years. I suspect at some point he stops showing up for work and so be it, but it would be completely asinine for the Cowboys to give him $40M per year and I can't imagine they will. If he wants that he can join the FU club with Zeke.

I don't think Zeke makes Dak. I just don't think Dak is so above par that the Cowboys are a top 5 team with Dak and a basic RB.

Correct. They MAY possibly be a top 5 team fully loaded including Zeke. Take any of their top guys (Dak, Martin, Smith, Zeke, Tank, both LBs and Jones) away and they aren't top 5 without a lot of luck

As an extension $40M sounds about right. 1 X $2M + 4 X $40M would be 5 years at $162M. I could see the 1st 3 years being fully guaranteed at $84M. Additional guarantees would start to kick in late in year 2.

He is a bottom QB. He is average with a top RB and Oline. Without he would be benched. Trubisky is a fine young QB getting better and better and soon will be a star QB.

Dak has put up better numbers in each of his corresponding years (rooke vs rookie, 2nd vs 2nd).

To play the "without the OL he would be benched" game is stupid. He wins and is good enough to be a top-16 QB. For you to even pretend otherwise just shows that you are an idiot.

However, back to my initial statement...a lot of teams can say their QB is better than Dak. Bears fans certainly are not one of those teams.
