Something I never really considered: Ben Lovejoy was undrafted. Turning that into a pick is pretty solid. I do think that it's a favor to the Rev more than anything. He's a good dude. I'll miss him for that, but not for his on-ice stuff.

why didnt the flames sign brust dash?

I wonder if the contract situation factored into the decision, jstew, and if they just wanted to give Taylor a cup of coffee in the bigs. He had played well down at Abby this year (along with Brust).

Edit: Taylor is a few years younger than Brust and they think he is a keeper (pun intended)

Well that Ducks/Isles trade is now complete. Lubomir Vinsovsky arrived in Long Island yesterday. He'll have his physical today & will probably play his first game Satruday against the Sabres.
