If I recall correctly, you did say that when Feaster claimed him. To make matters worse, Feaster re-signed him after a bad season last year.

fwiw just saw in any normal season waiver priority gets reset from last seasons standings to current standings on Nov 1st so I would say its safe to assume they are still using last years standings for claim order

so yes Toronto chose to claim McLaren over Boychuk

So, to clarify, a lot of teams passed up Boychuk? Because considering the teams that were below the Pens at the end of the season last year, that's surprising to me. He hasn't torn it up, but he's done quite well and it's a fairly low risk-high reward grab, no?
