The Pens were flailing when Letang played...

Yeah, but do you really think they wouldn't be better with him in the lineup? He's their puck mover. And it'd result in fewer minutes of Scuderi/Chorney/etc.

Although the Pens may be more effective 4 on 4, that call on Perron was sad. Boyle has him PINNED to the net.

The Pens offense gets maligned a lot, but anyone who knows hockey realizes that the defensemen start the play. And they usually lug the puck on the power play.

Playing with minor league caliber defensemen means the play never gets started properly, the breakouts suck, and the power play is stagnant with no point shots.

The salad days of Letang, Gonchar and Matt "money" Niskanen are over.

Lundqvist was outstanding down the stretch. He made two great pad saves through screens (one on a deflection right in front) to keep the Pens from scoring. But man, if the Pens play desperate like they did down the stretch of that game, they'll be fine.

They very likely take out the Pens, but I don't see the Rangers going too extremely far this year.

Vigneault takes coach whining to a new level. It's impressive really. The most contact your goalie took was when he flopped to the ice after his own defenceman hit him with a stick. And oddly enough the guy only cries after wins.
