They were top 5 prospects for a system ranked in the 20s, but apparently Quero was on the fringe of the top 100
Quero had a good year at A ball last year but I think the Angels did well in that deal and normally that is not the case for them.

Not a formal one, no. It is a market though. It is a market where the known commodities are available to be inquired about by any tesm that wants to.

I am just surprised that the Mets didn't get more for him from some team needing bullpen help, including the Rangers. That could very well fall at the feet of the Mets and the Mets alone though.

this is why the expression "lolmets" is commonplace on the internet. even when the Mets do things right, they screw them up.

That’s why I mentioned Rodriguez. He’s considered 1 of the top starters being mentioned as trade targets
He’s having a really good season and was even better before the ruptured pulley in his index finger or whatever. He wasn’t as good when he first came back off IL but I think he’s gotten better since. Not gonna lie, I don’t know exactly what that injury is but it scares me. Otherwise I’d be all over the guy

Don’t know about that injury but am sure teams looking at him are doing their due diligence. And not pulling a Prince Fielder

Having three wildcards in each league has really messed up the trade deadline. There are so few sellers any longer. Any team hovering around .500 has a chance at the postseason.

It has become imperative that you build your team in the offseason and only make tweaks at the deadline.

isn't the deadline 3 days away?

fair, you said the addition of a 3rd wild card has messed up the trade deadline.

i've yet to see any evidence of that.
I think it is skewing heavily in favor of sellers as clubs are backing out of becoming sellers.

Now, if a few buyers take the tact that was mentioned a few days ago, and trade amongst themselves, I guess that could alleviate some of the supply/demand imbalance.
