even funnier. Heat fans getting an attitude when someone picks AGAINST them...

and btw, Spurs in 6....
Who's getting an attitude? The Spurs are capable of beating Miami but I don't think they will. Indiana & the Bulls (with a healthy Rose) are Miami toughest challengers. I don't think the Spurs pose as big of challenge in terms of their style of play as Indy did

All joking aside, you are already 3 years in rebuilding ( after the fact) now and you figure to take another step or 2 backwards if Howard leaves.

Sure, you can talk about having a ton of cap space next summer, but look closely at the list of FA players available. You can dream of James coming, but he isn't. So, who does that leave you with?

You mean RELOADING of course ..this is the Lakers we're talking about not the heat which just happens to be going thru a good 3 year relevancy period in the NBA...... this year blew up due to injuries but i see your point that any year the Lakers dont win a 'ship should be considered a rebuilding year as you call it.

Enjoy this year ..there might not be another one for another decade turnip.

So according to Horns, the Heat use the superstar method while the Spurs use the depth method.

Who in here thinks the Spurs win this series if 2 of their big 3 struggles?

I don't think the Heat were overconfident. Dallas was the better team and they won.

Were the Spurs over confident when they got upset by the 8th seeded Grizzlies and 7th seeded Mavs a few years ago? Not everytime the favorites loses it is because they were overconfident

You are a smart guy for a Heat fan.:suds:

Duncan is better than anything Miami has inside. You may be right and I may be overrating this matchup for the Spurs. I thought Splitter could be effective on the glass against the smaller Miami interior. He hasn't really been gobbling up many rebounds so far this postseason though.
Yeah Spurs are better than the Heat on the interior but I don't think they will dominate the Heat like the Pacers did. Spurs do have much better perimeter players than the Spurs. Not sure how the Heat are going to match up with Parker.

Not getting sensitive at all. Some had the Bulls and Pacers winning against the Heat after the first games of each respective series. That is everyone's opinion. I nor you know who's actually going to win this series.

I just thought Turnup brought up an interesting point. No need to get sensitive.

Miami in 6. I respect the Spurs, I even like TIMMY!!!! But not for the next two weeks. I think Bosh will have a much better series (couldnt have a worse one). The matchups here favor Miami. Spurs got the edge at PG, and PF. Miami is better at SG, SF, and C. yes bosh is better than Splitter.

I would love to see Miami use Lebron as the PG on the floor for good stretches this series... using Battier or Miller off the bench when this happens. I think Lebron on Parker for some time could really disrupt SA offensive flow. I really am curious to see how Cole does on Parker. Cole's D has really improved since his rookie year.. he does a pretty good job of at least staying in front of opposing PGs. Him and Chalmers will have their hands full this series.

I don't think 2 of their 3 bigs will struggle. I could see Bosh struggling - and anybody else who thinks he is going to own the paint against the Spurs.

I think Miami is going to be relying heavily on 3's and outstanding shooting from LeBron and Wade, maybe Bosh from the outside.

Spurs will try to own the low post. Should be a great series. I see it going at least 6.

Not true. The Heat aren't huge favorites and haven't played that well this post season. Picking the Spurs by most people wouldn't cause me to blink an eye.

Obviously you can't read and comprehend. My comment was only directed to the fucking idiots, you included, who made a case for your crippled, Kobeless team to beat that team, but now feel that team should beat the current champs who hold home court advantage.

It makes no sense and falls right back into your endless ramblings which are formed by nothing other then HOPE.

Bird Man will figure once again into the Heats' chances of winning this series. He sure was awesome against the Pacers.

When you depend on a 40 year old pg, a center coming off surgery, and an older Kobe, what do you expect to happen over an 82 game season.
Factor in no bench and you get what you got. It took a heroic Kobe effort to back door you into the playoffs.

Now, Nash is year older, Kobe tore his AC, signs point towards Howard leaving, no draft picks or cap space, and you think next season will be better then this season? Why?

i hear what you're saying, but it's actually Turnip that i was referring to. he gets an attitude when someone's a Lakers fan and hates his team(even though it's been explained a BILLION TIMES one has nothing to do with the other. the guy's ESPECIALLY thick)...

anyways, i wasn't getting sensitive. more like laughing at him for bringing this shit up again for the 3rd year in a row...

She's always sensitive. Combine that with 'not so smart', and its not hard to understand why you get such a drastic, whiny, response.

Sorry. It's a good thing when opposing fan bases dislike your team. Whenever it happens the common denominator is because that team is good.
Nobody hates the Marlins :yahoo:

My point/question was how can you pick the Kobeless Lakers to beat the Spurs, but now pick the Spurs to best the Heat?

It has nothing to do with hate or anything from the part.
It is a question asked on its own merit.
