For football, it was a pretty cool fight. Poor sportsmanship? Yes. Entertaining? Ditto.

You can blame Bevell all you want, but the offense had a 10 point lead, it was the defense that let the Pats score 14 unanswered points...

The reason Bevell is getting blamed is because he deserves to be blamed. It was the worst play call in the history of the NFL and there's no defending him. You can't can PC because he built a great defense. You can't cut Wilson because even the biggest haters have to admit he's a very competent QB. So that leaves him. He needs to just go away because he's been average at best since he's been here and this is the low end. He sucks.

How ironic is it that the 49ers and Seahawks had the same scenario happen. Give it to Gore, give it to Lynch or even have Kaepernick or Wilson run it in... Nope both teams decided pass instead. Freakin crazy how both teams had the same fate with the same exact situation.

Emotions run high in games like this, can't blame the players that started the mêlée, they had the game in the bag and it changed in a second.

While the Hawks defense deserves some blame for blowing the lead I think the Offense is more at fault for all of sudden playing like shit and deciding to stop running it when you have Lynch.

Obviously you don't want to just give up on passing and trying for 1st downs but it seemed like it was 2:1 in favor of passing the ball after they went up 10. They should have stuck with the gameplan they were executing successfully up to that point, they didn't, and that's why I think people are blaming the OC.

This might have been the most entertaining Super Bowl I have seen in a very long time. I'm not a big fan of the patriots, but watching the Seahawks get beat like that was very fun. Then they pull the classless move at the end. I always knew they were a bunch of goons. The fight at the end proved it.

Damn right I'm pissed..... at our OC for calling that embarrassment of a play when we have a Beast.

As for all of the posters whose lives revolve around hating Seattle fans,

Hmmmm, 6 pics in this post season and he was fortunate not to lose the first game. I think he has regressed.

Not that it matters much, but it's five picks....

a pox on me - you are also correct that it doesn't matter much

No big, but looking it up - holy crap was it contageous this post season or what:

Wilson - 5
Brady - 4
Luck - 4
Newton - 3
Flacco - 2
Lindley - 2
Roethlisberger - 2
Rodgers - 2
Stafford - 1
Dalton - 0
Manning - 0
Romo - 0

So, 25 picks thrown this post season, seems like a lot this day and age.

It was Cliff Avril going down and Tom Brady with all day to throw that led to the 14 unanswered points.

Pats won fair and square, not saying they weren't the better team (both teams are equal IMO this late into it), or Seattle deserved to win, blah blah blah. That's all crap because end of day Pats won it and didn't require ref BS or anything to do it. BUT, there's a reason those 2 final drives for the Pats were able to put together those 2 drives so easily, and I feel like Seattle losing one of the better edge rushers in the league was one of them.
