I'm going to say the Gmen wont shop for a QB in the first round.....

They took Webb this past draft, granted he's raw and needs to be coached up, I still think he ends up taken over in NY

There is no question that SF needs a QB. Hoyer is nothing but a stop gap, and it's quite clear they need a franchise-type guy. I don't follow college that much but I have seen enough of Josh Rosen to know I wouldn't be opposed to taking him.

Wouldnt be so sure....It was pretty well known around here that they tried to trade up for Pat Mahomes this season, but the Chiefs traded up further than the Giants were willing to go

You could be right, I just would like to see Webb get some starts this season before they pass on a possible game changer next year

I suspect any team that has a top ten pick in next year's draft that does not need a QB will have an ass-load of trade value.

Well Bobby boy will run Eli out there until the end ( since his seat is hotter then a $500.00 Escort)

At some point the GM will have to say enough is enough and say sit Eli and give Webb a couple cracks...
Then again the Oline would have to do a better job as well!

Yeah, tough spot now...Throwing Webb out there behind that Oline, with now no WR's....Tough

49ers had Alex Smith but voted him off the island. Then thought they struck gold with Kaepernick, and he voted himself off the island. Now they're probably going to spend 3 or 4 years churning through top draft picks to find someone good, losing lots of games along the way. Love it.

You don't think they will make a play for Cousins?

Barring a late season meltdown or significant injury I truly believe that Cousins remains on the Redskins next season. He has always stated that he wants to stay there & the media has totally misreported this. He would also likely have a much better situation in DC than in SF & he appears to be comfortable in that area.

The sticking pt will be $$, but the Redskins got themselves into that mess so they will have to pay the price (& I believe that they don't have much choice). Heck - they might even be stupid enough to tag him again.

Miami, Jacksonville, San Fran, NY Jets, NY Giants, Chargers and Cardinals are 100% yes' on drafting "should we draft a QB". Pittsburgh and Buffalo have drafted QBs this last draft so they might not be in the market for QBs next year. Dobbs and Peterman seem to be pretty good, from what I've seen in the preseason. Washington might be if they can't get a contract worked out with Kirk Cousins. When it comes to FA QBs, don't forget about Drew Brees. If he doesn't retire, he's a Free Agent next year. Cousins might get tagged again. I can't see Alex Smith going anywhere if he and the Chiefs keep playing the way they are. Would be great for Mahomes to learn behind this version of Alex Smith. Also, don't forget that both Teddy Bridgewater AND Sam Bradford are FAs next year as well. I don't see the Vikings keeping both of those guys, so one of those guys will be available too. Shit, Cleveland might want to draft another one as well. Kizer doesn't look to be any better than what they've had recently.

Teddy is not a FA next year. In fact, this year probably won't toll for him.

Yeah, I suppose they would, along with some other teams I imagine. I guess we need to see how far the Redskins will go to keep him off the market.

I think you are in much better shape salary cap wise versus Washington. Funny thing about Cousins - he is playing just good enough to be intriguing, but I have a hard time seeing him being worth $30 million a year.
