This is actually pretty good, imo. I am still not sure who the Chief's backup is going to be for sure, but Murray seems like he should be the favorite based on the brief bit we have seen in preseason.

My big question would be is this based on just this upcoming season and how you think the QB's will finish or is this based on the talent plus potential of the group?

It also looks that this is based more on the starter than actual depth. Not sure why you included the back ups then.

Not too bad

Being a Giants fan, Ill always have an issue with Rivers and Dalton ahead of Eli, and Id like to see some more from Cousins before I put him ahead of Eli.....

But thats my little bit of Bias (and maybe youre factoring in Mccarron)

I am also ready to put Marriotta, Stafford and Winston ahead of Bridgewater

And assuming a healthy Romo, Id have to have him ahead of the game manager Alex Smith

Thats all

From what I can tell, it's a synthesis of last year's play and looking forward.

If you have multiple starters, you have none the old axiom goes.

Eli and Flacco should be moved behind Brees and ahead of all those who haven't accomplished jack shit in this league.

True but to me if I think the starting QB's are close in ability then back ups should be the deciding factor. Not saying I don't agree with most of the list though just trying to figure out how he went about this.

A few I disagree with..

1) Blake Bortles. While the turnovers are a problem for sure that he needs to get under control he showed plenty last year that he is much better than his ranking on this list in my opinion.

2) Tyrod Taylor. Another guy that really showed well last year and is now entering that 2nd year in the system and a better idea of how to use the weapons around him.

3) Can't include Fitzpatrick at this time on this list. The closer we get to the season the more likely it is that the Jets just move forward without him.

4) Tony Romo. I know the whole injury issues and such but when healthy he is a top-7 QB in this league.

5) Andrew Luck. Luck is to me one of the hardest QB's to judge. He has moments of brilliance and moments of completely hair pulling madness. Coming off his injury and even before his injury how terrible he was I just can't put him top-10 right now. He has way too much to prove to be in that group.

Think this is a great list!

I think the Patriots being # 4 is a pretty good spot for them simply because of Brady.. I really can't judge Garop yet since he hasn't really done anything (obviously because Brady has been healthy) But I would assume the 1st 4 games we should see what this guy truly has

Flacco was awful in 2013 and 2015. That has to be a factor, too

Yes he was. Eli has been horrible certain years as well. It doesn't change the fact that they are part of a select few who step up and deliver when it matters most. There are quite a few QBs on this list ahead of them that tend to do just the opposite.

Thats fair. My list would look VERY different from the OP's list, though. 'QB Situations' is more about what you think they will do and not what they've done. Would Andy Reid trade Alex Smith for Marcus Mariota? In a second. Is Tony Romo being healthy for 1-2 seasons in the most optimistic scenario really a good QB situation? lol no

Have to get to the playoffs to have that part of their game show up though. Eli has struggled to make the playoffs most years. Yes the team seems to know how to win when they get there but Eli and some of his terrible decisions this past year cost his team a chance at the playoffs. Flacco falls into that same boat of since he got his big contract the team has struggled to win. We are talking about a team that is actually under .500 over the last 3 years. Can Flacco be a big reason they make the playoffs instead of being the guy who gets carried to the playoffs and then shows up? 2014 I would say he was a big helper to the team but can he be that guy on a consistent basis? With what he is getting paid he needs to step up his game.

Solid list. There are a few guys towards the top of the list that might be interchangeable, but the bottom half is exactly how I'd have it.

Flacco hasn't been "carried" since his 2nd year in the league. The team had the classic "hangover" season in 2013 (and it had nothing to do with his contract). They should have been in the SB in 2014. Last year was a huge disappointment. They are much more feeling the effects of some very subpar drafts than anything to do with Flacco. They are also a victim of their own success (numerous coaches/players leaving) and poor draft position (which certainly has contibuted to their poor drafts).

Not bad... I think Dalton and Cousins are too highly rated though.

Cousins had a great year last year but their division was pretty atrocious. Cowboys defense is mediocre and Phily and New Yorks defense are bottom in the league. Top 10 already for Cousins? Pfffft.

Andy Dalton is terrible. He's had a top 5 WR for years and serviceable crew, and options at RB and TE... all while having the best pass blocking OT in the game protecting him. Not to mention he has a great defense. How that guy has not even gotten to the conference let alone division championship blows my mind. Oh no wait, it doesn't because he sucks. Also, gingers can't be top 10.

Andy Dalton was much better last year, though. Had 10 Franchise QB great games and 2 bad games before getting hurt. That stacks up with pretty much everyone. 8.4 YPA, 25 TDs, 7 INTs. Add in the fact that he is only 28 and he probably deserves to be ranked somewhere in the top third.

Way too early to tell if Boykin even makes the Seahawks team. I hope he does.

This "Past year" would be an inaccurate statement

years before, that would be true

But the Giants ranked dead last in defense last season, and that was the reason they missed the postseason

Eli, off the top of my head was 4000+ yards 35 TD's and 14 INTS

He played well enough in a LOT of games, tore apart the Panthers and Patriots, to name 2, to win games the Giants did not
