The smart answer is to keep both.

Wentz is better when healthy due to superior athleticism and mobility, but there is a question mark with any athlete coming off a major injury. And this injury happened so late in the season that there are also real questions about whether Wentz will be ready for opening day, much less training camp.

So you keep Foles, given that you have a realistic chance of contending again (20 of 22 starters returning), and you may need Foles to start.

It would be a bad time to trade Wentz, given his injury situation. And Cleveland passed on Wentz because they believed he was never going to be a TOP 20 QB in the NFL. Obviously, they are complete morons there, and their brain trust that made that calculation already got fired, but I find it hard to imagine a team like that trading for Wentz.

Is it?

Wentz is 25 and could very well be the face of the league once Tommy retires.

Foles is 29 and...

Quite a debate

Ya but that knee. And his playing style. 29 is just hitting prime for a QB.

I voted yes, for selfish reasons. I much rather see Foles in Philthy than Wentz.

Also the poll should have offered multiple choices.

Serious thread.

Serious question -

If Philly never gets rid of Foles, never needing to draft Wentz, do they still win the SB?

No for the simple fact Kelly dumped Foles and Howie wasn't allowed to bring FA's...
Then you factor in Schwartz, a lot of games won this season was the fact the defense played outstanding football.

Why are you so wrapped up in what folks outside of a city think?
We don't care.
Hungry dogs run faster.
Only for the simple fact that some of the Eagle uneducated keep claiming things like Dougie Fresh is already a better coach than BB:pound:It's enjoyable taunting thier dumb asses.

Where he becomes a perennial pro bowler at WR.
He's too tall. Those perennial white guys are all like 5'-8". Maybe he can replace Gronk?

:noidea: Why does a guy ponder quitting the game but comes back to back up Alex Smith?
He's always wanted to play. Got tired of being a back up. Now he's got that taste of starting again. Plus he and others know he can win as a starting QB.

My fantasy keeper team takes a big hit if Gronk leaves.

Big Ken said talk in NE was there was only about 15% chance Gronk leaves even though Vince McMahon is rumored to offer him a $200,000,000 contract.

Can anyone tell me what Foles did that Fluke-O didn't? He had 2 great games instead of 4 good ones. I think Baltimore has regretted hitching their wagon to him at this point with his crippling contract and their inability to find someone to succeed him.

Exactly. Foles is an Eagles hero for life, no doubt but it is silly for people who badmouthed him when Wentz got injured to suddenly think that he will automatically be successful any time he's in the playoffs now. Everything has to break right for you no matter who you are. Brady has lost 3 times now. Elway was considered a choker because he lost a couple super bowls early in his career....right up until he won 2 in a row to end his career.

What makes Wentz great is his escape ability, but as we all know, it will also end his career in the NFL. Foles is way more intelligent in the pocket and he dropped dimes in the post season.

Foles will stay in Philly. He's happy there and its a good situation for him. He doesn't need more money and I feel like he can't be bothered wanting to be the starter somewhere else. If the Eagles tried to trade him he might just retire.

By the way, at the Foles Christmas dinner...

Nick: Dad I thought you might like this Rolex.
Mr Foles: It's beautiful son, have a look in the garage for your present.

The Foles family is LOADED.
