The Hawks were lucky last season to not have a losing record that was because of the talent the Hawks have at QB. The Offense is good enough the defense is not and has very little talent depth but that changed in the past 4 months. What were they again? 10-2 in one score games lol come on now. Thats insanely high and that is because Wilson is the man.

I'll be the first to say that we need resign Clowney but it's not like we are devoid of talent outside of him. Griffin, Diggs, and Reed are all good players. Flowers was up and down last year but partly that was because we go zero pass rush. But now he'll slide to nickel back or maybe play a safety like role in dime umbrella coverage.

Wagner is still an All-Pro LB. KJ may have lost a step but is still useful.

Ultimately it boils down to the pass rush. Last year, Ansah was a complete non-factor and probably was one of the 3 or 4 worst edge rushers in football, maybe even the worst.

If Clowney comes back then the pass rush SHOULD be dramatically better than last year if for not other reason than we won't have Ansah doing nothing on the other side.

If we don't bring back Clowney, things get murkier. If we don't get Clowney or Griffen then things look really grim.

I get that but i am looking at the body turnover from just 2018 till now on defense, it's easier to name the ones still left than the ones that have left. Lets see Bobby, Kj ..... uhm

Bobby, KJ, McDougald, Griffin, Green, Reed, and Ford were significant contributors in 2018. Most of them were starters.

to be honest i think the players they have now will put up more sacks than last years team, Even without Clowney. There really is just no way they should have been as bad as they were at it at all. But my god they were bad. lol i just can not see them even with out Clowney being worse. Don't forget Clowney only gave them 3 sacks.

I was just going to say the same thing. Now we'll see what the 3rd definition of "rebuilding" is since the first 2 whiffed.

Edit: Tre Flowers started in 2018 as well.

Depending on how we work in Dunbar, there may be only 1 starter on D who wasn't already starting or significantly contributing last year: Mayowa/Irvin at DE.

One more TE for good measure! Haha, hilarious.

7th round though, so whatever. He looks more like a WR, physique-wise. Definitely not a Will Dissly type TE.

Sullivan was a WR converted to a TE at LSU.

I have to imagine we see him as a WR which would give us another huge target.

Stephen Sullivan, TE,

Massive WR thats what i see here. He is not a NFL Tight end unless you want more of a pure Pass catcher that is not asked to block ever lol. He ran a 4.66 didn't Jerry Rice run a 4.66? Not saying he is Rice lol just saying.

I hope they reach out to Washington's OT Trey Adams, a little shocked he was not drafted. I want that 20th Olineman so we can field 4 complete oline groups yep ....

I am excited to see the UDFA they pick up, crazy to say but i am. Also did we catch the Bears in TE on the roster? lmao.

FYI, Seahawks PR apparently lists Sullivan as a WR.

I like it.

trying to rebuild that depth but yeah we got a lot of Olineman, TE's, WR's and RB on this team right now but they did expand the offseason roster did they not lol. Would have liked 3 of those picks put on a CB/DL and S or OLB anything to help the defense lol.

We may have an overdose OL right now, but I think Chicago has 10 TEs!
