I poorly stated what was going on in my head.

If all you have is the 2019 tape, then you probably don't think much of Brooks' cover skills. But when including 2018, that gives a better overall picture of what he can do in coverage and should then complete the puzzle on what he looks like as a player. As you say, he can work on his skills in that one particular role. Looks like he should be able to come in right away and chase down ballcarriers though.

Completely agree with this. I think that was Sam's point as well. A lot of the evaluations were based on his 2019 performance and not his 2018 when he showed he was more than capable of covering players.

Zone awareness is a teachable skill.

This could be turning out to be a very good draft class for the Hawks... Almost everyone on in the draft pitching in... Brooks AND Taylor balling like no tomorrow...

What's sad is that has been our best draft since what 2012? It's really to bad they only had 3 picks total in 2021 because had they had another draft like this one the depth on this team would be so much better.
