I'm not encouraged by reading Davis gave Brooks a free ride to the QB. I saw that too often last year.

Seems as if Coach Harbaugh is trying to connect with the players rather than the preious regime of dictatorships!!! Or at least that is my hope!

Whitner had a nice pass breakup and an INT today, he looks good.

Unfortunately Aldon doesn't look ready for primetime yet. Boone does block him well. He still made some plays and a highlight was stopping a reverse play to a RB in the backfield. You can tell a two point stance is new to him and coverage is going to take some work. His arms are crazy long, I understand all the hype about that now.

Depsite being probably 5'8" Masoli does throw well.

Anthony Davis let Brooks smoke him in a pass-protection drill. Speed rush outside, his nemesis. I think Davis might have breathed on his threads. Davis just doesn't look that interested to me. He has fat jiggly legs and doesn't get his ass low at all when he takes his stance for the snap. Very slow footed.

Alex Smith was his textbook self. High passes early on until he got settled and then he got the intermediate and deep passes dialed in. I'd like to see him do more deep passes this season because he was on the money with them.

Ginn, man. I think I spent the majority of camp ripping his ass. He dropped 3 passes by my count. Poor dude had to listen to me heckle him all morning haha.

Kap is going to be good once he learns all the plays. His passes are quick and on target. One play was blown dead because he didn't have his WRs in the right spot. Alex was flawless in this department.

Mays is a chump. He was hardly on the field. He got beat easily on a crossing route. Another play where he wasn't involved he decided to come and blast the WR way after the play was over. It wasn't even a tackling period. Another TE decided to stand up for his teammate and shove Mays back. I decided to let Mays know that was all he could do cuz he can't cover.

RJF looks powerful this year. He was consistently shoving guys around.

Reggie Smith was walking around with almost a full leg brace that allows a little movement at the knee. Poor guy was bummed.

Edwards is going to do well. He's got size and was catching the ball well. I'm really looking foward to him this season.

Ron Johnson and Kyle Williams are small but they got a lot of balls today. Morgan looked good too.

Snyder can't snap worth a fuck and get's bulled over very easily. Thank god we signed Goodwin.

For some reason Trent Dilfer was watching practice. Lorenzo Neal as well. Cam Inman should spend less time running his mouth and more time actually paying attention to practice.

Overall it wasn't much of a practice. Very little time spent by the starting D on the field and ZERO tackling. I feel bad for all the fans that came to get autographs because they were hung out to dry unless you get excited about a guy like the Cal lineman Edwards. Bowman and Willis headed straight to the outdoor gym to workout AFTER practice.
