Also hearing Vladimir Sobotka has signed with Omsk of the KHL.

I would think he has an out if he re-signs with the blues

He is going to get soundly booed when he returns to Rogers Arena...

i know Vrbata wasnt in town when Benning made the announcement of the signing but it would have been a nice touch to have a new Canucks Vrbata #17 jersey on display :noidea:

Why not go 5 minutes of 4-on-4 and then another 5 minutes of 3-on-3 and then the coin flip if still tied? What's an extra three minutes?

That, and I'm not a big fan of the dry scrape break. Not sure how long that will take, but I don't like the delay.

Not his fault he took a discount to keep the band together and the band decided they like knitting instead.

Nucks are better off without him, anyway.

Why not rock paper scissors? That doesn't even require a dry scrape!

Columbus Blue Jackets - Blue Jackets sign Dubinsky to contract extension - Columbus Blue Jackets - News

No word yet on Dollars.

Dubinsky has earned it and personifies what the Jackets are trying to be. Clear message to Johansen; look at him. THAT is how you get a long term deal. Show up every game and play your fucking ass off.

Congrats, Brando.

Yep, definitely deserving - now RyJo needs to take a bridge deal and earn it and then he'll get a long term deal like everyone else does

Dubinsky's deal was 4 years with a AAV of $4.2 million. He signed that after 2010-11 when he scored 54 points. Is Johansen being offered something similar? If he is, it's still too low. If he is being offered less, then he's right and it is indeed a slap in the face for a guy who just scored 63 points and was the best player on a playoff team.
