Which is why female to male trannies don't try to play men's sports.
The second wave Feminists touted Billie Jean King's victory over Bobby Riggs as proof women could compete with men.

What those people did not mention (and it's easy to see why) is that Riggs was 55 years old, out of shape, and spent virtually no time preparing for the match and spent most the preparation period getting drunk. He still gave King, 29 years old and in her prime, all she could handle.

Here's another thing they won't mention: Riggs played another female tennis player named Margaret Court - then the top ranked female tennis player in the world - not long before the King matchup. Riggs actually prepared for that matchup and he trounced her. It wasn't even a contest. A guy who peaked in the 1940s dominated the best available woman player from the early 1970s.

But that matchup got very little coverage. Because it didn't fit the narrative.

here lies the problem..NBA is pretty important to succeed as a league... Basketball is the 2nd most popular sport in america, and it is the only sport that they can mimic exactly from the mal.. the We counterpart...

we as a society, whether we believe it or not, have to teach our daughters that they can achieve anything a man can... who cares whether you believe it or not...

and basketball is the clear best sport to do this with... if WNBA players dont make enough for it to be their full time job, then the league is just going to slowly get weaker and weaker in quality...

this isnt even about feminism...
Only sport they can mimic? Women golfer's and tennis players can make a pretty good load of cash and they're playing exactly the same game. The problem is that you watch womens tennis, golf, or soccer you can see that they aren't quite as good but it's the same game they're playing, but mens and womens basketball are just two completely different things because of the athletic difference.

My point is not about the quality of play. Nobody hear is arguing than men sports is not significantly better product.

The point is simple, if you have a daughter who loves basketball. And is damn good at it.

Are you going to tell her that women will never be as good as men, and belittle the league and tell her to idolize a man, and even tell her not to become a wnba player because the league is a joke.

WTF does that have to do with what I said? I'm saying it's not some god given right to make 8 figures if you're an elite athlete in your sport. And league average is 147k. Do you consider that a horrible salary?

I'm gonna let two prominent, famous, successful female athletes end this argument:

Give 61-year-old Jordan an offseason of workouts and practice and he'd be the best player in the WNBA...if he started identifying as a woman, of course.

Josh Giddy would probably dominate the WNBA right now and half the time I identify him as a woman.

Yeah I got a little tired of people acting as if King beating an old man proved anything, and by the way she had acess to the wider doubles court where Riggs had to play it straight up.

But as for this story if revenues are going up then why shouldn't the players look to be paid more?

They should and I don't think folks are suggesting that they shouldn't.

The issue is the jealousy around Caitlyn Clark and the money making opportunities (mostly from endorsements) that she's coming in with as a rookie.

The league just got a big tv deal and if attendance and viewership continue to be higher, players will see increases in their pay.

In, I believe, 1985 the Lakers gave Magic the first $1 million dollar per year contract in league history...people lost their minds and said it would destroy the league and a lot of players were jealous and upset...especially those with more time in the league.

But again, when players started seeing what they could get because of what Magic got...they stopped bitching.

Right now, the other WNBA players are just barely starting to see some of that potential...as more of them start seeing those endorsement opportunities and larger contracts, the complaining will stop as well.

No this is a bad take

The softball World Series is more popular because it’s their own thing

And feminism is cancer

Always has been

They already can and society has been living that lie for 30 years already. Where have you been? It's swung so far the other way that the young boys are the ones being told they aren't as good as a girl. And if the boy thinks that's bullshit he gets medicated.

At least on the court, the boy can see and feel the truth. Truth is relevant there.

They stack the deck afainst them with dei and aa bullshit

Why do you think the CC fervor will die down? Been going on for nearly 3 years and is only getting stronger at this point

Her laughably idiotic comments earlier this week won’t bell

I don’t know why we are comparing men to women here. I think it misses the point.

Am I going to lie to my daughter and tell her that she can be just as good as the top male basketball players?

No. That isn’t necessary.

But, that isn’t what we should be trying to do here. Women’s sports do provide value though for sure. It is a different game. And there is a lot of value in it for many reasons that you bring up.

Also, somewhat ironically, some of the things that NBA haters complain endlessly about lacking in the NBA actually are present in the women’s game. Because they lack the raw athleticism, they are forced to play a more fundamental based game.

Who cares what a few uneducated people think?

Anyone who has played sports at a moderately high level knows the truth.

I think it’s great for everyone to play sports at a young age

Subsidizing it off the backs of men and still screaming bloody murder is peak entitlement and when I tell (royal) you to fuck wayyyyyyyyyy the hell off

Let the feminazis fund their own league

Oh wait….that would require taking accountability

Another reason why Clark’s and Paige bueckers comments were astronomically stupid
