She's literally the only reason anyone paid attention to their league last season after spending decades bitching and moaning that nobody caredIn a perfect world, that's exactly what would have happened.
But it's not a perfect world, so Caitlyn Clark gets to go through the same shit that Bird and Magic went through when they entered the NBA.
Ftr, the league itself (meaning the leagues office and ownership) embraced Clark a little too much. They put her and the Fever on too much too soon. If memory serves, the Fever had played something like 11 games in the first 3 or so weeks when every other team was at 7 or 8.
She was a rookie trying to learn the league while playing on what was the worst team in the league the previous year.
Imo, her not being on the Olympic team was the best thing that happened for her, her team and the league...she got some rest, she played much better after the Olympic break and got her team to the playoffs.
The players were the ones that didn't embrace her. Nor should they have been expected to, imo.
They should be on their knees kissing her ass.
