On one of the local sports talk shows yesterday they ran through all the stats from RGII's first year and Dak this year. The similarities were uncanny.

Sure but RG3 is a puny,,entitled cocky bitch. Guy does a Subway commercial and thinks he is the cat's meow. At first they thought it was the coach at Wash, but realized it was Robbie.

Dak kinda reminds me of a Brady. Not expected to start, but injuries to both franchise QBs , both teams had shit record the year before and both have excellent seasons. Its not always about stats but chemistry and natural leaders. Look at Arod in baseball, helluva career but didn't work in Seattle, pauid him huge $$$ in Texas and then NY, some guys dont deliver in the playoffs and don't have ice in their veins. We will see how this ytoung man does in his first playoff game, I will be rooting for him

Ranking all 32 NFL secondaries this season

Hmmm intesresting  Keep on hating on the cowboys secondary you will find out soon enough.

1. Dallas Cowboys (Rank entering Week 7: 4)
Top overall grade: S Barry Church, 86.2 (No. 9 among safeties)

Top coverage grade: CB Morris Claiborne, 85.1 (No. 12 among CBs)

Top run-defense grade: S Barry Church, 86.0 (No. 11)

Most snaps: CB Brandon Carr, 1,013

One of the biggest reasons for the Cowboys’ success this season has been the turnaround of the secondary. After having just one defensive back with an above-average coverage grade last season, all eight players with at least 100 snaps in 2016 earned average or above-average overall and coverage grades. Although they lack an elite-caliber player, this group has played consistently well as a unit. Byron Jones, Barry Church, Morris Claiborne, and J.J. Wilcox have all earned career-high overall and coverage grades this season, while rookie Anthony Brown has played well down the stretch in Claiborne’s absence.

Giants ranked #2, mattered very little Sunday. Some nerds rankings mean nothing.

Giants also lost DRC that game. Regardless I think Dallas will do a little better job on offense which will help keep the defense fresh.

In the last month of the season the defenses the Packers have played:

Houston with #1 over all defense and #2 passing defense scoring 21 points
Seattle with #5 over all defense and #8 passing defense scoring 38 points
Chicago with #15 over all defense but the #7 passing defense scoring 30 points
Vikings with the #3 over all defense and #3 passing defense scoring 38 points

4 of the top 10 passing defenses in the last month and it did not seem to matter. This is not the same team from back in week 5 or whatever it was.

What those teams don't have is an offense to keep their defense from getting worn out. When your defense is constantly on the field against Aaron Rodgers they will get worn out pretty quickly. What Dallas can do is pound the ball and keep the defense from getting worn out.

It's only Tuesday and packers fans are reaching...talking NYG game, 7 game stats and all while Dallas fans seem confident.

this can't be right according to the hoop survey this season.
Everybody likes Dallas
Not sure many of us like them? The poll was about hating them. With most fans agreeing the lack of the Cowboys relevancy over the past two decades was a deciding factor in not hating them.
Don't fret, IF Dallas becomes relevant again there will be plenty of haters.

You need to actually go back and look what happened in the game earlier in the season as you must not remember it much. The biggest reason the Cowboys won was because of 4 Packer turnovers with 1 interception and 3 fumble recoveries.

What happens when there is a turnover? The defense has to go back out on the field wearing them out with more time playing later in the game. If you look at the play by play you will see that in the first half Elliot had lower than his average at 51 yards rushing. In the 3rd quarter he had 30 yards but in the 4th quarter as the defense wore down from being on the field because of those 4 turnovers Elliot ran for 76 yards for a total of a bit over 150.

They have not had one in like 6 or 7 games. The turnovers won the game for the Cowboys Look at how many turnovers the Packers have had in the last 6 games it has been a big turn around and an opportunistic defense. If the Packers can get one or two instead of giving up 4 it will make big difference.
