Interesting and slightly unflattering piece involving Winovich.

Well this is crappy to hear. I mean I have heard the "he isn't good at stopping the run" before but not about his mouth. If there was a quicker way to get kicked out of New England I can't think of one

If the Colts had won today, Philip Rivers would have been automatic to bring back to Indy next year. Everyone will ignore the fact that Taylor dropped two critical passes and had both in hand.

I'd be very happy to have him as the bridge QB next year to help break in a a new QB.

He doesn't bring the heat with a great downfield arm anymore, but he is more than adequate everywhere else.

Stafford or Rivers and I'd be content.

Add some veteran talent with the available cap and some nice fresh blood from the draft. Toss in a couple UDFA that BB always seems to find for good measure.

I can't stand Rivers cry baby antic but apparently we do not have a QB. The QB from Tampa had damn near 400 yards passing last night he looks good

I would rather have another shit year than Rivers. He just doesn't have it anymore. And he's never been a "winner".

Brady has a fantastic offense at his disposal and he knows how to use it. Brady would've maybe won one or two more games fo us this year and that would've been it. And we'd all be saying how he fell off the cliff and it's time to move on.

Young QBs need a better than average veteran to really learn from. Newton is NOT that kind of veteran. Rivers isn't Brady, but he's cut from the same mold. Having Rivers would allow the team a positive influence to start the season and hopefully infiltrate a rookie and guide him.

I swear if the Patriots ring back newton, they will lose me forever as a fan.

Belichick said that he will consider bringing Cam back for 2021. Guess what Bill.........Cam won't want a one year $1M contract with incentives so get ready to change your BVDs.

Will Rivers take less than $20 million however? I mean BB wouldn't go that far even for Brady

I don't believe that teams will be lining up with that kind of money because none of them will have it. I honestly think BB could get him for his final year at $13M + incentives.

Incentives like :

$2M if all 16 games are played
$2M for 3000 yds passing
$4M for 4000 yds passing
$6M for 5000 yds passing
$2M for QB Rating over 100,0
$4M for QB Rating over 105.0
$6M for QB Rating of 109.0

If he threw for 5000+ yards and had a 109.0 QB Ratings, his completion percentage would be at least 70% and the Patriots would finish the season at no less than 13-3 and a first round bye and probably be in the Super Bowl. Rivers would certainly be worth $13M and $26M in incentives if he gets the team to the Super Bowl.

However, Bill wouldn't have done that for Brady...

But now it might be thrown out the window since he has seen what happens when he has a shiTTy QB

Sorry I just meant he wouldn't go that much for this year...
I don't know what the contract offer was that Brady did not entertain.
He walked away from the second year of the his last contract.
Rumor had it that there were some serious incentives and Brady wanted guaranteed, not incentives.

Word was that Brady just wanted out.
