Well shit...Lugo gave up a run on an rbi single, on a 3-2 pitch w/ 2 outs to some scrub who didn't even have a batting avg.

Nice relay play by Lagares to Frazier to Ramos for the 3rd out at the plate, preventing another run from being scored.

Mets 1B/OF Dominic Smith will rejoin the team in New York on Monday and is available to be activated if needed. Smith has been out since July 27 with a stress reaction in his left foot.


Next:

Mets RHP Marcus Stroman (9-13) was moved up a day and will start Sunday's rubber game because manager Mickey Callaway thinks he matches up better against the Reds than Miami.
He'll face Reds RHP Trevor Bauer (11-12) who will make his first career start against the Mets

Mets LHP Steven Matz will instead start the series opener for NY against the Marlins on Monday at Citi Field.
